  Perfectly OK hotel for a stay in the city

  Stayed 4 nights at the end of a tour of the CaucasusRoom 213Positives-Room size OK-One plug by bed to charge phone, would have been better if there was one both sides of the bed-Kettle and coffee provided but only espresso cups- can't make tea in that!-Comfortable bed-Staff helpfulGood location- 20 minutes walk to the mall, to the Caspian Sea and a handy supermarket over the roadNegatives-Noisy on the main road, coauldn't open window-Fridge was lit up and not in a cupboard so a bit bright in the middle of the night!-Very tatty, ripped towels-Breakfast very average, no fruit, only long life pots fruit yoghurt, no juice only orage squash, no tea bags at all- only coffee.No lamps or bedside reading lights were working when we arrived however did report it to Reception the next day and it was fixed same dayWould stay again but ask for a quieter room and go out for breakfast!   Best hotel in Baku?

  I'm not exaggerating! There are certainly much fancier, much more expensive hotels with huge brand names in Azerbaijan's capital, but the Port Rivoli Hotel is undoubtedly where I would choose to stay on my next trip there. It's a boutique-sized hotel in a building with charm and character, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was beyond friendly and accommodating to my needs.I was in Baku for the COP29 climate summit, and when the conference went past its scheduled end date I was forced to extend my hotel stay at the last minute. This was no problem at all (I got to remain in my existing room). The staff even brought me a free fruit basket to thank me for staying there.The location was also wonderful. Baku is an extremely walkable city featuring wide, Paris-style boulevards, and the Port Rivoli is an easy 10-to-15-minute stroll from the main city transit hub, where the May 28 metro station offers train rides to other parts of the city (including the stadium). You can also walk 20 to 25 minutes to the picturesque waterfront on the Caspian Sea, and from there it's easy to get to the old city with historic sites such as the Maiden Tower or the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, or to Fountains Square, which is great for people watching. This would also be a convenient hotel to stay in if you were in town for Formula One.Don't feel like walking? Taxis and the Bolt rideshare service make it even quicker to get around the city and back to your hotel.The Port Rivoli also serves a hot breakfast in the morning. When it's time to depart Baku, the staff will help you arrange a ride back to the airport.All in all, I couldn't have been happier with my stay here. I hope fate takes me back this way again someday.   Fantastic stay with warm hospitality of Azerbaijan

  If you are looking for an excellent experience in Azerbaijan, the perfect start would be to stop at the Port Rivoli Hotel. The hotel is located in a cozy area of Baku and you can reach all the tourist attractions you wish by foot or at affordable taxi prices (around 1.5-2 euros). Additionally, there is the Baku City Circuit nearby for F1 enthusiasts.I must mention that the rooms are tidied every day and every time you feel like at home. The staff are warmly welcomed from the entrance door until the last minute of your stay here and speak in multiple languages: Azerbaijani, Russian, English, and possibly more than I have heard. In any case, you can find communication tools and get what you need during your stay.If traveling with children, this is an absolutely child-friendly place, and if you require some peace of mind, room service is available for your convenience. Port Rivoli represents hospitality from locals and their kindness. I will definitely come back to spend more days with them in the future. Thank you!
