    Everything was good. The hotel was comfortable and we had a pleasant stay. Just keep in mind that taxis do not go directly into the Old Town area where the hotel is located, so you need to walk for a few minutes to reach it.

    Lovely hotel with great staff, especially Leyla, Aysel, Ramiz and Hasan , who go the extra mile to help, They understand English and are always willing to assist. And ,of course Mr Emil, the very friendly manager. We loved the location in the old city, which is close to the Metro and most historical places, restaurants, the promenade, etc.Breakfast is an excellent buffet , with so many choices. Views from the restaurant are amazing.

    A great hotel to stay, friendly staff and excellent services.Their breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.The only issue was the location, taxis do not go into the old city and to get to the hotel or out of the hotel you had to walk a bit, but otherwise a great place to stay

    We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in this hotel. The room was very large, stylish and comfortable, the bed was enormous and everything worked really well including the Wi-Fi. It was spotlessly clean. All the staff were delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful. There was a very good choice at breakfast both hot and cold dishes and lots of lovely fresh fruit. The restaurant is situated on the 4th floor and has wonderful views. We had one lunch in the hotel which was excellent. It is well situated in the old town and most things are within easy reach. We highly recommend this hotel.

    We have just returned home from a very enjoyable 11 night stay at this hotel. Our room (214) was spacious, bright and comfortable. The air conditioning could do with being set to a couple of degrees cooler, as it did feel hot most nights. The shower is good and the room has a kettle and fridge. Very tastefully furnished. Housekeeping is flawless - thank you. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice. The food is very good and so is the service. The views of the FlameTowers are stunning. Breakfast is also served on the top floor. Omelettes cooked to order and plenty of buffet cheeses , meats and salads. My only disappointment was with the bread. Freshly baked rolls and more locally baked bread would be a big improvement. We booked the hotel partly because it had a spa. Unfortunately this was under renovation during our stay and so closed to guests. Surely this could be communicated in advance? This was a disappointment for us, as we were planning to make use of this facility. Another area which could be improved is the garden on the 3rd floor. We sat out there a couple of times and although they have comfortable chairs and cushions, the whole area felt a bit scruffy and underutilised. Improving this area by having a proper coffee/cocktail bar and watering the hanging baskets would make a difference. The staff in the hotel are lovely. One lady in particular (I’m afraid I don’t know her name) spoke with us every day and was always friendly and helpful. All the reception staff are professional and pleasant. I can recommend this hotel for it’s perfect location in the Old Town, walking distance to everywhere you need. We felt it was also good value for money. This is a clean and comfortable hotel with fantastic views from the roof top. We had a great time in Baku and although there are some improvements which can be made, I can highly recommend the Shirvanshah Hotel.
