    I had the privilege of staying at the Merchant Hotel Baku. The hotel staff, service, quality, and design were all of the highest level. The responsiveness, attention to detail, and individual approach to each guest truly amazed me. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the hotel has a Michelin star, but I could personally confirm this based on the approach and level of service.I would like to express my special thanks to the hotel restaurant staff. The taste, presentation, food, and drinks were of the highest class and quality. I am deeply grateful to Rustam, Sultan, Mirza, and Gulnara, and I wish you continued success, as there is no limit to perfection, but you make me rethink these words, as the taste was truly perfect.I also want to thank Jaffar, the Front Office Manager. You are truly a kind person and a great specialist, and you are the true business card of the hotel. I wish you much success. Special thanks to Mrs. Arzu for assembling such a wonderful team.I highly recommend the Merchant Baku Hotel, and I will personally stay there again without a doubt

    Merchant is absolute top in Baku! 10/10, back here for the second time!At the end of 2025, I stayed at Merchant Hotel, and it was so amazing that I just came back again recently! The best hotel in Baku for me (I've stayed in Baku at hotels - Sheraton, Radisson, Movenpick, and Art Gallery)Stylish, with soul and history. Location is perfect - right in the heart of the city, everything are near: Old City, parks, cafes, sights. Rooms are spacious, bright, spotless, stylish, with a bed you sleep like a king on.But the real magic is in the team! Special shoutout to Viktor - he's a true legend of hotel service! At breakfasts, he works wonders: everything is perfectly organized, every dish is delicious, coffee is superb. He knows how to listen and hear, tailors a personal approach, remembers tastes and preferences. Viktor's cocktails at the bar? A whole universe! Tasty, perfectly balanced, made with soul - from classics to signature mixes. And conversations with him are warm, genuine, like with an old friend: he's always ready to help with tips on Baku, hotels, restaurants, attractions, or just lift your spirits.Viktor doesn't just work - he makes your stay unforgettable, comfortable, and truly special.     Rude & Arrogant manager Mr.Jafar

    had a very disappointing experience at Merchant Hotel during our stay in December 2025. Despite clear room availability, we were made to wait for nearly seven hours for check-in by the manager, Mr. Jaffer. Even after repeatedly requesting early check-in and offering to pay for it, our requests were ignored without any proper explanation.The manager’s behavior throughout was arrogant, rude, and completely lacking empathy. We were traveling with a child who was unwell, and when we asked for a simple paracetamol tablet, he refused bluntly and showed no concern whatsoever. This level of insensitivity was extremely upsetting.What made the situation even worse was that he seemed to take visible pleasure in our discomfort, which was deeply disturbing and unprofessional. Additionally, there was a clear and noticeable difference in how other guests were treated. While they were handled politely and attended to promptly, we were spoken to disrespectfully and made to feel unwelcome. This contrast raised serious concerns about discriminatory and racist behavior.We are frequent travelers and have visited many countries, but we have never felt this unsafe, humiliated, or unwelcome anywhere else in the world. This experience was not just poor service—it was unacceptable on a basic human level.Hotel , Location and other staffs are extremely good.But manager Mr.jafar was extremely arrogantI would strongly not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting respect, professionalism, and basic hospitality.
