Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers, this resort lies in Emerald Bay, right on the sandy beach.

Facility

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 249 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services and facilities include a transfer service, 24-hour room service, a laundry service, a conference room and a lounge. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas (no extra charge). The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. Services include a hotel shuttle bus.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Many units feature a sea view, which creates a particularly lovely ambience. A safe and a minibar are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. Other features include a telephone, a flatscreen television with cable channels, a DVD player, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge). A hairdryer and a vanity mirror are on hand in the bathrooms for everyday use. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked.

Sport

The outdoor area features 3 pools. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. Sun loungers and parasols on the sun terrace create a perfect space for guests to relax and unwind. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including tennis, bocce, volleyball, golf and jogging. With windsurfing, paddle boating, kayaking, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Sport and leisure facilities at the complex include a gym and billiards. The resort offers an entertainment programme for adults.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering is provided by an à-la-carte restaurant with air conditioning (for non-smokers). All-inclusive can be booked. Breakfast and lunch offer culinary delights every day. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The resort also offers snacks. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction. For guests, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

    This was an excellent couples resort but soon to be a family resort within the Sandals family called Beaches. Excited to return with kids. From what I can gather, they plan to redo the resort and obviously the housing to accommodate families. The location is excellent

    They just closed this resort with 2 weeks notice and canceled our vacation!!! We were planning our 5th Sandals vacation and paid in full. Now i have a couple of weeks to find another place to go while they tied up 10,000.00 on my credit card. This is a disgrace - 2 weeks!     The food was not very good, food choices were terrible, restaurants were closed a lot of days, best food was at the Drunken Duck Pub, not a good experience. Was at Emerald Bay in 2016 everything was great, would not recommend this resort, we will never go back. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and were very disappointed. I guess they didn’t care anymore, because on August 15th they are closing the resort to convert it into a Beaches resort. Sandals is not the quality they used to be, this is the 10th year in a row that we have been going to Sandals resorts. Was not the quality and service that we paid for, one of Sandals most expensive resort. Avion P, Other at Sandals Emerald Bay, responded to this review Hello and happy anniversary!     Farewell to my favorite resort!

    We have been going to this resort for years always the Villa with private pool and have felt like we were home!WAIT - this will no longer be the case. Emerald Bay is now going to be a BEACHES!!! This is a huge loss to the group of Sandals adult resort list. We were notified via email on 7/31 that the resort is closing to become Sandals BEACHES on 8/15. We have December and March reservations for the next three years already booked. Major phone work yesterday.I feel like I have lost home away from home and very dear friends. You will all be missed. Since we love the Sandals products we will remain loyal and maybe see you at another resort in the future. God Bless you all, My sincere thanks to Jeremy and his staff for many happy years.     First of all, the actual view from the room is of a burm with weeds. Beyond that is the ocean. Red flag warning the whole time we were there. We weren't allowed to go snorkel or use other equipment in water. The only thing to do was walk along the beach which I did zigzagging thru all the plastic trash. The resort next door had a cleaner beach front. The food was ok. The drinks ok. The workers were not trained in high end customer service. Bottom line is, you pay 5 star price but receive 2.5 star quality. My husband and I changed our flight to go home a day early.
