Great Value for Money - AMAZING LOCATION

    rating05 May 2026

I booked this break a few months ago without really checking the reviews..... then a few days before we were due to come - I checked the reviews and was really worried about the hotel, as the comments were shocking. HOWEVER - I honestly cannot agree with any negative reviews. It is a great little hotel. Breakfast was brilliant. Staff on front desk were always helpful. Bedrooms are massive - Beds are OK. Rooms were cleaned well. LOCATION is brilliant. Some areas are a bit dated, and could do with a spruce up - BUT overall an excellent hotel, and me and my wife will re-attend!

Don’t waste your money unless you enjoy to heat or AC

    rating03 Apr 2026

Apparently, I am not the only reviewer with issues, others date back over a year. I did not have a choice in the selection, it was selected by my travel agent and I notified her of some of the issues as well. So, my review will be lengthy, I apologize in advance. To the future prospective customers: THE ISSUES HAVE NOT BEEN SOLVED. I was allowed to check in a couple hours early. I had only planned to drop my bags and head out for the day. First, the room was like an ice box. Apparently, the heat needed to be turned on by the front desk after 3 pm. However, there was a space heater already in the room🤔. There was no fridge, but a space for it. The access panel under the tub was cracked open and no way to close it. There were only two bath-sized towels in the bathroom, apparently they are used for everything, but I saw a cart in the hallway with different sizes. After I returned, there was still no heat and I discovered the window/door was cracked open, contributing to the abnormal chill. I stopped by the desk and “they turned on the heat.” I went back to the room, attempted to close the window, but the wind still howled thru it. I went back to the desk and was advised to meet the other employee at my room. I met her upstairs discussed the heat issue, she advised a technician could not come out (it’s a holiday weekend). I told her I could not sleep in such a frigid room with the wind howling. She moved me to another room, which was just as frigid. She indicated the heat was out everywhere. This room also already had a space heater, so I would take this to mean they knew of the problem or it doesn’t get that cold that space heaters were sufficient. Honestly, it was warmer in the hallway and I was tempted to sleep out there. I had to request a second quilt as well. This room had a better view (not as quiet, but I would take street noise over howling wind). It had a fridge that worked although I think the shelf inside belonged to a different fridge. This room also only had two bath-sized towels. You need one for the floor because the shower splashes all over the floor because for some reason in Europe, they only use half doors in the shower. The other towel is used for everything else: drying hands, after shower, etc. This room did not have a kettle, which I found odd for Europe. I had to request it from the other room, the employee looked at me like I had two heads. But I needed it for my hot water bottle and hot tea to stay warm. It appears they are slowly making upgrades, but some jobs were left unfinished. Such as the door locks/handles were replaced, but not painted. The tub drains slower than the shower runs, before you know it, the water is ankle deep. Then there is a weird angle to the tub and it’s hard to maintain your balance getting out. I saw the price for one of the two nights I stayed, almost 350 EU or $400 USD. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I would not have paid $75. They do not enforce the “no smoking” policy or the “quiet hours.” I could smell smoke in the hallway and both nights other guests were banging around in the hallway and even in my door, which was last in the hallway.

    Definitely not a 4* hotel

    rating29 Mar 2026

My husband and I stayed, he thinks my 3 is generous, but we had a great view from the window and it was clean. The staff were also nice.Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the TV didn't work as their was no remote, the tea/coffee facilities were ridiculous but perfect for a child's tea party. The USB wall socket didn't work, but the WORST part of the stay was the horrific WiFi. It is one of the worst hotels for WiFi that I have stayed at.

    Avoid This Place

    rating27 Sept 2025

Location is good.Atmosphere is not good. We found the front desk staff to be the rudest staff we have ever dealt with. Seriously if your staff doesn't like your clients perhaps they should move along. They have a bag storage room right next to the entrance doors where you can leave your bags, but do you want to? It is unlocked and out of the sight line of the desk staff.Beds were okay. Rooms need renovations. The entire place is looking run down. Old kettle with a couple of tea bags and no coffee. No mini bar as advertised. Soundproofing is poor. Super noisy with lots of shouting from outside. Just not good.Breakfast starts at 8 on weekends, not much good if you have an early train to catch but really it is about the hotels convenience and not yours. They didn't even bother to tell us where the breakfast room is or was.In my opinion they don't want people to stay there so why stay there? The price is not worth it.

Do Not Stay In This Hotel

    rating27 Jul 2025

I booked 3 rooms as we were a group of friends travelling to Belgium for Tomorrowland. All rooms were advertised as having air-conditioning however the AC did not work throughout our stay. The AC could only be controlled from the reception and it was never switched on although we were told otherwise. Even more than the AC not working, the attitude of the reception staff was appalling. The shift staff did not take ownership, kept giving excuses, and told me there was nothing that can be done. The reception staff themselves told that the owner is not bothered to fix the issues with AC and therefore nothing can be done. When asked to speak to and escalate to the manager, the manager conveniently avoided any guests as the managers work shift is only between 3pm-11pm. Inspite of multiple requests, the manager was never reachable and never acknowledged the issue or made any attempt to sort it out. Very poor service. Would never stay here again. Although rooms are listed as AC rooms. It simply means that there is an AC unit inside the room which does not work!!!
