    Good value for money if on a tight budget.. However need updating ie: carpets, new mattresses on beds asreally uncomfortable X Bit of a hiicup regarding prebooked breakfasts . Claimed refund once home .could do with tea/coffee making facilities in the room .

    Pre booked last year through a 3rd party site for a weekend stay with FREE cancellation and pay when at the hotelThe trip was cancelled so i cancelled the booking for FREE a month or so in advance, imagine my surprise when i found a large sum of money missing from my account.The hotel had charged my card the full amount plus a tax as well meaning they had taken more than the confirmed amount.A week later and despite numerous emails from myself and the booking agent, i still haven't received a penny back, or even an email from the hotel, never mind an apology for taking money they had no right to.Shoddy customer service, i certainly won't be looking to book this hotel in future!

    This hotel was our first stop on our road trip to Sweden. It is centrally located in Sint-Niklaas, not far from Antwerp. There is no parking, but we found some about five minutes walk away. Staff were friendly and spoke English. The room was big and the beds were so comfy that I had the best sleep that I've had in ages. The shower room/toilet was a bit cramped but was ok. Breakfast buffet was basic but tasty. The shopping street runs right next to the hotel.

    Is the cheapest but decent place to stay in Sint-Noklaas or near by towns like Hamme. Location wise it the best place to stay.

    Adorably Retro, Quirky & HONEST

    Never quite made it to Brugges for the LeSage Brewery. Detoured here for the beer.Found the Spiegel right on the square. They had rooms and a good price so we stayed.The hotel is old and the room decor shows this, crushed velvet headboards, paisley satin spreads. You'd pay an arm & leg for this as a boutique hotel in the states. Staff was wonderful. The older gentleman when we checked in told us where to eat (from our list of restaurants who served the LeSage beer) Left us info on their beer fest and Christmas activities. Charming. We will be back.HONEST - I left a gold bracelet sitting on the bed, I called when we got home 2 days later, they said they hadn't found it. I got a letter lat week asking to verify the address to mail it back to me.
