Location

Located in the historic heart of Ghent, the hotel is only 3 km from Citadelpark. The city of Antwerp is located some 60 km from the establishment.

    I had to contact the hotel several times today because I kept changing the bookings (for 3 rooms) and Max (the person I spoke with at the hotel) was extremely patient and very helpful with everything. With this level of customer service, I am very confident that we will have a very pleasant stay at the hotel!

    The hotel is very well located. Comfortable and the People is ver kind. Good breakfast. I would like to have kiwis but… it was good. If I return I will reserve it another time

    We booked 3 nights at this hotel as part of a package including the Eurostar, and would consider it excellent value.The hotel is situated in a fairly quiet street very close to the river and the old town. The whole area feels very safe at all times.The hotel is in a very old building but has been modernised to a high standard. Our room was a ground floor room that was on a small courtyard and although fairly small was well appointed and very clean. It had a large modern bathroom ( however the shower is very slippery). Breakfast was of a very good quality however when busy items tended to run out.The staff were all courteous and efficient.All in all a vey enjoyable stay

    A great hotel in a lovely old building perfectly situated for the markets and old city. The rooms were comfy, the staff were lovely, and it has a nice quiet bar when you can finish off or start the evening. There's a courtyard too. The breakfast buffet is superb, easily in the top 10% of those I've tried, with a huge selection of breads, meats, salads, cereals, and even a waffle iron.

    Can’t do anything about it!

    Arrived at our room for an overnight stay, on a warm, sunny day in October. Opened the door to find the room was stifling and hot, showing 27 degrees in the room, with a sign on the window saying “Do not open, Window broken!” We went down to Reception to ask for the heating to be turned off, and were told by the officious Manager- she couldn’t do anything about it! Open the window! We explained we couldn’t and the sign on the window. It wasn’t until we requested another room that the Manager sent someone up with us to look at it! That person simply opened the window- when we showed her the sign she simply picked it off! Turns out our window opened on to an outdoor area with a small table and an ashtray accessed by a staff only door way! Had to have the windows fully open - no privacy- for over 2 1/2 hours, to cool room a few degrees! As we sat there a staff member started to access the smoking area, saw us in our room and quickly retreated. Tainted our thoughts on Ghent :(
