    Good Hotel centrally located, perfect for Museum and Menin Gate

    Visited Ypres with family for 2 days over Easter. The Novotel was a perfect location, close to the Museum & the Menin Gate. Plenty of restaurants nearby, friendly staff who advised on where to Park (the church car park next door is very cheap and walking distance to the hotel). The rooms were good quality for the standard sold. The breakfast was excellent

    As a tour guide I love this hotel, it’s perfect location, great rooms and is very comfortable, great selection of food for breakfast, nice big briefing room to talk to your group. With all the rooms it’s the largest hotel in Ypres which is excellent for big groups.The staff are efficient and very helpful, always willing to advise and assist, Julie the GM is a brilliant manager and so helpful. Elisa very helpful and always answers emails etc quickly.Keep up the perfect standards and thanks very much I will be back!

    The best thing this hotel has going for it is the location. We booked the Novotel because our initial choices were not available. We booked a room with twin beds and a sofa but somehow ended with the accessible room. This was not made note of at check in which I found odd. The room did not have a sofa which really didn't matter to me but the bathroom was essentially one big shower with no hooks for hanging towels or clothing, there was a very small wire shelf for toiletries. All the towels were hung on bars for assisting in pulling one self up, (accessibility room). When you showered water went everywhere. I did not request a room change as I was already aware the hotel was fully booked. Our room over looked an interior roof and into other rooms. The room was clean. There were some tourus groups while we stayed here, I suspect that as a chain hotel, that might be their focus. We were told we could park nearby for 2Euro nut no change was provided unless we made a purchase. The second night we were unable to find a spot in that area and opted for an underground spot that is joined with the hotel, it was quite pricy but convenient. We did not have the included breakfast as it was quite pricey, instead we went to a nearby bakery for croissants and coffee. I wouldn't not stay here again but it would not be my first choice. , Guest Services / Front Office at Novotel Ieper Centrum, responded to this review Dear guest,first of all thank you for your review.Our apologies that you got an accessible room. When the hotel is fully booked, we have to allocate some of our guest to this type of room. This is the exact same room type, but with an open bathroom and a comfortable chair instead of a sofabed. Please know you can always come to reception with requests like this, you never know there are some cancellations and we are able to offer you another room. We also have drying racks at your disposal if wanted. Normally, we do provide the change for the car park (if we have the coins available at that moment).     Located a few minutes walk from the Menin Gate, this hotel meets the expectations of the brand. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Comfortable rooms. There is limited free parking in front of the hotel and paid parking directly under the hotel. Dog friendly.
