  Upon arrival, the room smelled like cigarettes... No bottles of water or coffee, nor a mini bar in the room. Bed for two people with two mattresses, one person, so there is a hole in the middle of the bed. The smell of the sheets is mediocre, and there is one large and one small towel for two people, and a vacuum cleaner at 8 AM... on a Sunday.   Anaïs was the best receptionist we have ever dealt with. She was excellent and made us feeling at home after we stranded in this hotel after a car problem that needed fixing.She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Her English was perfect.She is the best business card for any business. The hotel bed was the best we ever slept in. The room was spacious. Free coffee and tea 24/7 and great breakfast. Top location. Overall a 5 out of 5 experience. Good value for money. Very clean and a huge bathroom with a great rain shower.   Price/quality definitely recommended in Bergen ! Top breakfast

  We have stayed in a family room of 4 people and a regular room of 2 people in combination with a visit to Pairi Daiza, both of which were recently renewed and exploit some beauty flaws certainly in order !   I spent two nights at B&B Mons Gare and was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, quiet, well appointed, and the bedding very comfortable. Special mention to the front desk staff, welcoming and efficient, even late at night. Breakfast is plentiful with fresh produce, and Wi-Fi works perfectly, which was essential for my telework. The hotel is close to the city center, ideal for visiting Mons on foot. Very good value for money. I'll be back soon!   Avoid this hotel !

  This hotel does not provide any hospitality, service is below zero. When entering the hotel and paying the bill immediately, we had to pay an additional 100 euro’s, we were forced to do so cause we had no credit card. We are a non-smoking couple 64 and 66, lot’s of travel experience but this was the first time we met this. Under protest we paid the additional money, we had no other choice. There was no proper explanation other than ‘the boss tells us so to do’. Agreement was we would get the money back next day. However… at checking out, we did NOT get our money back. We got the message, that refund was ‘waiting for approvement’. Approvement?? Why? And by whom? And under what conditions? We felt like being scammed by this hotel. Further more: breakfast inconvenient, insufficient bread, croissants underbaked, little choices. Elevator not working, it’s a worn-out hotel. Carpet smells musty.I do not blame the personnel. They have to do what is told them. I I may give any future travelers one advice: avoid this hotel.
