Could be so good with some investment. Don't stay here during the summertime until the fix the A/C in the rooms

    rating23 May 2026

Reception staff are excellent - always courteous and efficient and always willing to help even though it's obvious they are continuously under pressure due to the hotel being understaffed.Location was good for me. Quiet and out of the way in a forest style location but with easy driving access to work, shops and restaurants through quiet enough neighbourhoods.Center of city and major shopping mall about 10 to 15 mins drive away. The food in the restaurant is good. The surrounds of the hotel hold huge potential but require work. Now to the main issue - COMPLETELY INADEQUATE AIRCONDITIONING in the initial room and the subsequent other 2 rooms I've been changed to.They have upgraded me to a junior suite with a balcony which at the time of moving in, seemed to have working A/C but now that the outside temps are up to 30+ degrees C, it's painfully clear the A/C is on it's last legs and the temp outside is almost cooler than inside. When I requested to have maintenance look at the A/C in the first room I was informed that the A/C is configured in such a way that groups of rooms are connected together and that the A/C would not be available until the ambient temperature increased. At the time ambient temps were low so it wasn't much of an issue to leave the window open (and let bugs in) but as the ambients rose to the current 31 degrees C the rooms are like saunas during the day. Also all room thermostats are locked on 22 degrees with no option for guests to change to their required temperature. Regardless of this the A/C is still not able to cool the rooms even to 22 deg.I have had to extend my stay due to work commitments and, and since there's no other hotel in the area I will have to stay here.I have emailed management for action on this and I will be providing an update at the end of my stay.Gym and swimming pool were both shut for renovation on arrival. Temporary gym is now set up with 3 cardio machines and a few free weights. The pool also opened today after 1 week. There was no indication from the hotel about either of these being closed at time of booking.Rooms were not cleaned properly each day. Bedsheets changed once in the first week of staying there. Soap bottles not refilled without requesting.Vacuuming of the floor inside the room not done well.Coffee and toilet roll not replenished - need to go to reception to get them yourself at times.

    Horror vacation

    rating15 May 2026

Horror hotel. I am surprised it’s even open. I guess the lack of alternatives available in the area when booking with short notice keeps it on the flow despite such a miserable service. Let’s start with the positives: has parking and internet. And both are good. The person at the reception is very available and gentle, and tried to be as helpful as he could within his power. We booked a suite. We got a room with broken window, that wouldn’t close and the toilet wouldn’t work. The restroom was nasty: hair everywhere, nobody cleaned it after the previous guests. We asked the change the room. The second room had very poor old furniture, dirty and gross looking couch with spots. The restroom still disgusting, hair in the tub and on the sink. The person at the reception offers us another room and decides to go check it personally first. Suggests we should get drinks at their bar while waiting. Tells the personnel of the bar to serve us. In 40 minutes we spent sat there waiting, nobody came to take our orders. We finally checked in our new room, which was acceptably clean. After a short time we realize the heating doesn’t work, they offer us a portable heater. The bed comes with two tiny pillows and hard and thin blanket. The balcony of the room has rusty fence and a grate on the floor instead of actual floors, which made it pretty scary to use. The room and the restroom have very little artificial light, so I had to use the phone torch to use the mirror in the restroom. Just outside of our room some kind of sensor went off and made unbearable noise all night long. The walls of the room are very thin, so we also heard the neighbors pretty much just as if they were in the same room. The breakfast is very low quality and has very little options to chose from. Cold scrambled eggs, cold boiled bacon, cold cheap wurstels, overcooked beans, still cold. Some cheap and greasy industrial croissants and empty jars of jam to fill them with. Few slices of cut ham and cheese. The coffee machine makes good coffee but the counter it sits on was smelly from the rag they must have used to clean with. Very disappointed, definitely first and last time coming here.

Room 3 was an icebox and too many issues

    rating05 Oct 2025

This hotel should be amazing but sadly its far from it. Let's talk positives first, great location out of the way, easy access to car park, nice automatic opening entrance and level access. Restaurant staff were great. Food was good,a little pricey but not badNow sadly for the negatives, I am disabled and use a walker so I can't walk too far but when I booked I requested a ground floor room or near to reception and they messaged me back confirming I'd be on the ground floor and that it has a double bed and if that's ok which I was. Arrived and signed at reception by Linda. She saw me using my walker but then said I was on the 2nd floor but when I said I had asked for a ground floor room and got confirmation she then changed my room to room 3. Now rooms 1,2 and three are connected through one door and 2 steps down but I don't think linda considered this what with me using a walker so obviously my things fell off the walker but luckily one of the restaurant waitresses saw me and helped. The room was abit dark but the worst thing was the air con was turning out freezing air and so the room was like an icebox. The temp control was busted so you couldn't change the temp and I had read some reviews mentioning about this issue but they didn't say which room it was. Also the TV remote didn't work so I checked the battery compartment and the batterys were crumbling apart which means they've been like that for awhile. Then I checked around the room and the metal tube that connects the shower to the shower head was black in parts and when I looked at the shower head itself it had lots of limescale on it. Also the mirror was dirty and there was a stain in the bath someone had spat in it. The bedding wasn't very thick so with the room being freezing I thought they would at least put an extra duvet on.The carpet was threadbare also . Oh and maybe it's a Belgian thing but there was no tea or coffee making facilities in my room which surprised me When I went for my evening meal I mentioned about the freezing room and Linda said she would tell maintenance but didn't say when but she did offer extra bedding. I also gave her the remote and wasn't that bothered because I'm English so I wouldn't understand the TV anyway but Linda did say the last guest said the same thing but they didn't watch the TV either but that's not the point. They hadn't changed the batterys. So I had my meal. The cheese croquettes were really nice and the rolls that the waitress offered were also fresh. The main course of spaghetti olvio was drenched in oil. It was like a broth.i had to leave most of it. I also had a beer. The waitresses were nice though. The bill came to €38 which I think was abit too high in my opinion. So I walk back to reception and Linda hadn't changed the batterys so I had to wait. Then when I got back to my room after alot of fiddling with the battery's I finally got the TV to work.I had difficulty sleeping in a freezing room but I kept my clothes on in bed and wear my hoodie up otherwise I wouldn't have been able to stand it. This could be a great place but it feels like it's rundown and everyone's lost interest.I can't say anything about the other rooms but if you get offered room 3 make sure they have fixed the heating issue

    No water supply

    rating30 Jun 2025

There is no water suply since yesterday afternoon…no shower, toilet in the morning…no information…very uncomfortable. I hope they fix it! I know this is not the hotel, but the water supplier in this area, but still it is a major issue. The hotel is ok, friendly and nice service, except this water issue. I hope they do their best to solve it

    A bit disappointing

    rating06 Jun 2025

The exterior and ground floor, reception, bar / restaurant etc, are very nice but the hotel rooms are a bit dated. However the hotel itself has some great facilities. My room also had a damp smell which was unpleasant. I found the staff to be curt to the point of rudeness and due to this I couldn’t recommend this hotel.
