  Beautiful Hotel

  Really beautiful hotel. We stayed on an overnight stop on our leger holiday tour on the way back to the UK. Beautiful room, comfortable beds, tea and coffee (including decaf) in the room, drinking water available at all times on floor 2, and a beautifully prepared breakfast. The hotel is tasteful and lots of lovely details. Also trying hard to be ECO friendly.One minute walk from the town square which has lots of nice eating places. Highly recommended.   Great little hotel

  Well placed small hotel ideally suited for my solo Leger All Quiet on the Western Front tour.The hotel was quiet, very clean and well organised. The staff very friendly and generally helpful.Providing a very good breakfast but lacking a restaurant for evening meals wasn’t a problem as the adjacent town square offered several good restaurants.The downside for me was the room that I was allocated which was very small on the ground floor and, unlike the standard rooms it did not have the advertised fridge which I needed to keep drinks and medications. Having paid a single supplement I was surprised not to be offered a proper room.Having said that though, my stay was very pleasant. One bonus, as I was hardly ever in the room during my stay was the option to not have the room serviced each day in exchange for a daily 5 Euro voucher to be used in the hotel bar. Unused vouchers could be returned to reception and the benefits given to a local charity..   Stayed at this hotel for a few nights as part of a coach tour. Very nice hotel found in a side road off the main square in the town of Mouscron. The hotel is well located for a small supermarket, lovely bakeries and restaurants found in the square.Staff are welcoming and pleasant. Hotel is quite large within and well thought out aimed at the guest. Rooms are spacious and very clean and well maintained. Our room was peaceful and we slept well during our stay overlooking the car park and rear of the hotel. Our room was like a little flat with cooking hob, microwave and even a small dishwasher.Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of both hot and cold food. The fresh bread was fabulous each morning including the little pastries. Met the needs of all the guests and was really enjoyable first thing in the morning.An excellent hotel, great stay and hope to return. Thank you.   Still one of our favourite hotels

  Still a fabulous hotel. You can’t beat the staff who work hard . This year we elected for the apartments which we enjoyed . My only complaint ? It needs a toaster in there . However other than that a big spacious room , very clean and a good set up .We avoided breakfast this year in the hotel as - as I stated last year - I don’t think it’s worth the cost . Any meals in the hotel are ok, but it’s all very basic fare . A quick thing to note is mouscron is not the centre of the world ….there isn’t a lot in the town itself however it’s very safe and friendly and when any events are on the town rocks .This year we booked the car park and I’m glad because parking is limited outside - just note the car park is low and tight so anything bigger than car won’t go in - but it’s secure and safe .So the question is would I return ? Of course I would it’s a fabulous hotel and the perfect touring centre for Lille , arras and Ypres . Brussels easy reach too . Being on the border makes it so accessible .   Dirty stinking toilet

  Unfortunately have to give 1 star otherwise this would definitely be no star. When we checked into our room 109, we couldn’t believe how freezing the room was. The heater that was present in the room was ominous. But the housekeeper with the show of hands, language barrier, tried to reassure it would warm up. It didn’t for the short period we were in the room. But much worse was to come. On going out to explore the local area, my wife went to spend a cent. And to her horror on lifting the toilet seat, the toilet was full of excrement and even some had been smeared on the walls. I called the housekeeper and again because of the language barrier, all she did was shake a dirty toilet brush at us. We weren’t getting anywhere. While we walking to the lift the housekeepers were openly laughing at us. I personally would be too embarrassed to laugh at, the lack of the cleaning they had done. So we went back downstairs to reception and informed the hotel manager of the problem. He just informed us we had to wait for another room to be cleaned, no apology. When we allocated room 3. We had no complaints but in the back of our minds was the level of cleanliness we had experienced in the other room. So we used our anti bacterial wipes to wipe over the room.So no I most definitely would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. First of all, I just would like to remark the heater which was supposed to help the aircon couldn’t have had any effect as you have been given another room as soon as you checked into the first one. Let’s say this would have taken 15 minutes, maybe.Regarding the cleanliness of the toilets, what you describe falls far short of our usual standards and hygiene requirements. I fully understand the inconvenience and it is unacceptable that you had to experience such a situation. But the horror of seeing « full of excrement » in the toilets, and even more on the walls is absolute non existing in our hotel rooms.Finally, yes, you had some apologies from myself when you came to the reception and I gave you immediately another room, trusting you and feeling so sorry about the situation.However, I take your feedback very seriously and assure you that your comments have been passed on.
