    Dropped our bags early and went to explore. Came back to check in at around 7pm. Our river view room was road and car view, asked to change, not possible. Really noisy with people chatting outside the windows throughout the night.Checking did not mention spa or pool use at allToilet separate but no sink to wash hands, pretty pointless. Shower rail came away from wall. Not a 4 star at all

    Pro: comfortable bed - if you like it on the firm side. Room was nice although a bit small with a view of the river. Nice bathroom too.Con: On our first day, there was no hot water because of works on the street in front of the facility. Even though it was not the hotel's fault, they could have done something to mitigate the pain of not being able to freshen up by offering - for instance - a breakfast voucher of one for a couple of free drinks. Also, even though the hotel is conveniently located right below the Citadel, it's not very close to the train station (if you are getting to Namur by train), as it will take a good 20 minutes to get to the facility. All in all, even though we didn't have a negative experience, we were expecting a little more. Will probably try a different facility if we ever go back to Namur.

    Traveled for business and had a wonderful stay at The Royal Snail. Staff were very friendly. Very clean rooms. Breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone staying in Namur. Great convenient location. Thank you!

    Beware of fraudulent exit charges in this hotel

    I asked to do laundry in their own in-house machine and staff agreed to it. I Dropped off my laundry and the hotel manager noticed it and told reception that the machine in question is not for washing customers' laundry, even though laundry room's marked as hotel properties @hotels.com website. The manager decided on his own, without asking us anything, to use them their external premium laundry service, which is available to use using separate order sheet in the room that must be filled out if it is used. When I later picked up the laundry, they told the cost was exactly the same as room hold. I never got any kind of receipt for the service either. I called hotels.com and they found this weird. Upon exit they told us to pay voluntarily smaller amount or they'll double charge the room hold using Hotels.com "no show" hold from my credit card. They did the fraudulent charge and I had to close my credit card in order to do the chargeback claim. The credit card company paid me back the amount and hotel is now in hot water with the credit card company due to fraudulent charge. I would avoid this hotel as the manager engineers services you did not order and does not give receipt for it and ultimately tries to trick you paying smaller amount which you cannot chargeback if you've voluntarily paid with PIN if you fall into his tricks. If you sort ratings starting from the worst, you can see the manager is very rude and calls bad ratings liars. They're not. Room was also loud.

    I travelled with my girlfriend in Namur, we chosed this hotel to spend time in the spa for our first trip. The hotel has a good localisation in Namur, we were close to the center and also next to the hill of namur with an amazing view of the city. The room was very confortable, huge and clean. We spend someting like two hours in the bath, it is a very good bathroom. The bed is good, I was just a little bit dispointed that is a double bed and not a kingsize bed (but I still have a good night ! ) To be perfect, I just miss a television with Netflix or Amazon.And staff is very lovely :) To conclude you can go in this hotelif you want to spend a good time with you love !
