    My stay at this hotel in Rio was extremely disappointing, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.We arrived to a dirty room. It was clear that it had not been properly cleaned before our check-in. The floors were unclean, surfaces were dusty, and the overall standard was unacceptable. On top of that, the room smelled very bad. When we raised this issue with the staff, they tried to convince us that there was no smell instead of acknowledging the problem. We received no compensation for arriving to a dirty and foul-smelling room.Housekeeping was highly inconsistent. Several days, when we returned to the hotel around 4–5 PM, the room still had not been cleaned. It’s very easy to see when cleaning hasn’t been done — after spending time at the beach every day, it’s natural to bring a bit of sand back with you. When the sand was still on the floor hours later, it was obvious that no cleaning had taken place. The towels and bed linen were stained and did not appear to be changed regularly, which made the entire experience feel unhygienic.I had to address our concerns multiple times before anything was done. After we complained, they moved us to a smaller room, which was unacceptable since I had paid for a specific room size. Only after insisting that I expected the room category I had paid for did they move us again.Water was not included — something I am used to at hotels — and they charged 10 reals per bottle, which felt unnecessary and overpriced.The hotel also sells tours. Do not book tours through them. We booked one via the hotel, but the tour could not be carried out. Despite the fact that we had paid for it, the hotel refused to take responsibility and denied us a refund. They completely distanced themselves from the issue.The breakfast was very poor. The selection was limited and low quality, and something as basic as an omelet cost extra, which is quite unreasonable for a hotel breakfast.If I had known how old, worn down, and frankly unpleasant this hotel was, I would never have booked it. This experience has taught me never to book a hotel again without the option to change dates.Never again.

    This is a great place to stay . We stayed in room 1303- soo clean and comfortable. The shower is a bit small and the water intense but still great. Hot water in the shower which is great considering this isnt a given in south america. Breakfast was great , lots of options , service was very nice and pretty much all the staff was friendly except a few of the breakfast crew. Close to everything and a couple of blocks from the beach, so it is perfect to go out to eat at night and walk the beach

    In all honesty this hotel was not good. Lifts abismal - was quicker to walk up to 11th floor!! No soap or hair shampoo in dispensers. No towels left by housekeeping. Had to request for a second time to get any, first request ignored. Internet shocking. Breakfast below average. Do not disturb sign ignored. Bar staff at pool not receptive. Did he really want to be there? Kicked us out right on the dot of 10pm, drink finished or not. I would never use this hotel again and do not recommend it.
