Location

Two blocks away from Brazil's most famous beach, the hotel is located at a strategic and privileged site. It is situated close to the metro station Cardeal Arcoverde, in Rio de Janeiro's most important tourist centre with theatres, cinemas, banks, stores, boutiques and restaurants only a short walk away. The hotel, however, is located at a quiet street with lots of trees in the heart of Copacabana. Rio de Janeiro - Galeão International Airport is around 20 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 8 junior suites, 3 suites, 30 studios, 32 single rooms and 43 double rooms, which are located on 12 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     It is horrible hotel. Rooms are smaller than a pigeon hole. Suffocating. Unhygenic, not clean., horrible service. Worst stay !!

    This hotel was really disappointing, I booked 2 rooms one for my daughter in law and baby, she had to change rooms because of an insect infestation. I acknowledge that this is an old building but the mould in the bathrooms was really bad and should be cleaned. This is not a 4 star hotel possible 2.5. Towels were very old and rooms were not clean. Breakfast was very good and all the staff that we interacted with were really helpful. I would not stay here again.

    Perfect hotel. I always stay here when I'm in Rio. Breakfast is excellent, Copacabana beach is only a 5-minute walk away. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. They are ready to help at any time. The streets around the hotel are full of restaurants and bars and are safe for walking.

    This is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in! The room shower and shower handle had mould on it as seen in photos. We had one big suite and a separate room for a single traveler. They offered a room that was as big as a closet and didn’t even have enough space to open a suitcase for the single traveler. I don’t think it’s even legal to offer such an enclosed space! When we complained about it they offered another room at an extra charge. The breakfast room is essentially a corridor with some tables, much smaller than seen in photos. What was worse of all was the service. The reception staff was so unbothered and unhappy to help it was shocking. On the last night we moved to a smaller room after our daughter left. One of the men at reception, Andre, was absolutely dismissive when we said we didn’t book a twin but a double for our last night. He didn’t send anyone to help with bags to swap rooms and treated us as if it was an inconvenience for him to send someone to make the bed a double. Weirdest thing is that later that same day we received a parcel and instead of finding this at reception he went into our room and left it on our bed while we weren’t in! We were so creeped out by this as it never happened for someone to go into our room in our absence like this, especially without prior agreement! I have never been more relieved to leave a hotel before. The last night especially after the parcel on the bed incident, we were really nervous to stay there! Overall a very bad experience, in a rackety dirty hotel where the aircons makes a lot of noise, the lifts barely work (broke down twice while we stayed there) and the spaces are maximised to put as many guests in as possible (like in the closet room and the breakfast room!). Wouldn’t recommend and it is very expensive for what it offers.

    Hotel is in need of some renovation. Breakfast was pretty basic and not much variety. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is not far from the beach which was another advantage. However, for the price paid, it certainly needs a facelift.
