    Great Family Hotel

    Family of 5, 2 adults + 3 kids. Great family hotel, wonderful staff, outstanding manager. I booked online and send a message requesting a crib, and they answered me in a couple hours. When I arrived, everything was set up and perfect. The sink water didn't have that much pressure, but it was not a problem. The breakfast was great, a lot of options, our family enjoyed it a lot. Really good location, walking distance to the beach, and park. Huge grocery store by the side, tons of restaurants and bars. Overall, I would definitely book this hotel again.

    An old and poorly maintained hotel in a good location in Barra de Tijuca. I do understand that it is tempting to increase prices a few hundred percent with the Olympic games coming up in a couple of weeks, but then I expect some basic services. Breakfast was really poor for a Brazilian hotel, rooms are really basic with a 20 year old TV....and don´t ask me to pay for my whole stay at the time of check-in. Nope, never again for me.

    Had to switch rooms twice because the safes were broken in the first two rooms. Not a great start, and I had a lot of trouble communicating the problem with the hotel staff. The rooms are dated and in real need of updating. The A/C, as other reviewers have noted, is exceptionally loud and not adjustable as far as I could tell. Also, the internet service was terrible. Redeeming factors? The location is not bad--close to the Barra da Tijuca beach, which is fantastic.

    The hotel is fine for a overnight or short stay. very near the market for the thrifty...there are restaurants near by as well. The hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. Free, covered under the hotel parking which is a plus. Continental breakfast. The rooms are clean and neat. The beach is not that for off so one could walk there. Sizable rooms with TV and internet, WIFI..AC if you need it

    A year on from my first stay and I returned. The main change was the wifi is now very poor. It mainly only works in the lobby or breakfast room, but even then not consistently. My room was near the front this time, so much noisier than when in rooms near the back. Everything else remains the same, nobody speaking English, dated rooms and an ok breakfast. I'll be looking elsewhere for my next stay as being in Barra for work means I need to have good wifi.
