    A little further out from Rio center but the facilities are great and the beach was very nice. It is just across the road from the hotel.Very good experience as a globalist .     It was a great stay at Grand Hyatt. They were nice people. Spa was amazing. Food and breakfast was super duper delicious.     Nice hotel but wouldn’t recommend

    We spent 3 nights at this hotel and the room was good, the club lounge was good. Food was fine. Concierge was great. Pool area no service until later in the day. We had a much better experience at the Sheraton Rio on the beginning of the trip. OK so now the big issue which is not the hotels fault but they allowed this taxi to be out front waiting for victims. Friday evening and stormy weather we had 8 Ubers decline us. The taxi was there and before we took it I tried to arrange a price and was told the wait time accrued and that the cost would be about $60 tops. Uber was $35. Honestly I was so thankful for this after 8 uber declines. I got my credit card bill today and the taxi driver charged us over $1500. Yes $1500. Are you kidding me. Hopefully our credit card does the right thing and fixes this. I am disappointed that a scam artist cab could sit outside of the Hyatt and that the Hyatt workers could make me feel like this guy was legitimate. Beware and pay cash for cabs. Uber lets you pay in advance and that is why I used them but they can decline to bring you when there is traffic which makes them unreliable. Bring cash for cabs !     It was a truly outstanding experience staying at this hotel. We had already visited two years ago and thoroughly enjoyed both the breathtaking view and the property itself. This year, we were fortunate to receive an upgrade to the Presidential Suite. I have traveled extensively around the world, but I have never experienced an apartment of this caliber. It was simply exceptional.Highly recommended – we will definitely be back.     Amazing experience. Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro is by far the best hotel around. Modern, with great facilities, access to the beach, a sizeable swimming pool, an accommodating staff, amazing view.
