    Cheap, but bad!

    I love downtown Rio and the old buildings. The hotel is old and cheap, but there’s a difference between cheap and poor. Everything is the room is poor. The AC makes noise but the rooms remains hot, the furniture is old and the painting is a sad old beige. The shower was good, but the floor was dirty, no shower without flip flops here. There’s a “window” in the shower that let’s you enjoy a view of the pipes. Staff was very friendly and super helpful, and breakfast covered all the bases! Location is good too, just be careful (like everywhere else in Rio). Spend 5 bucks more and stay somewhere else!

    This is a good hotel in downtown Rio de Janeiro Brazil is nearest at subway, bus, taxis, app taxis, lunch places, mc donalds, bobs. A price is a small taxes. A clean is good. the people who work there are kind.

    A close-to-all place to rest

    If you are travelling on a budget, this is a very good hotel to stay in. The rooms are not well maintained but they have the essentials.It is located in the downtown where you can plan a visit to the beach with easy access by metro or plan a visit to the wonderful Santa Teresa not to mention the close-by theaters, courthouses, and heritage buildings.The breakfast was good.Been here in 2014.

    Old hotel, essentials included

    We stayed 7 days at this hotel. Don't take a room with street view because the noise from the neighbouring clubs won't let you sleep. We had the essentials but nothing else and facilities seemed to be very old. My mum and I were staying but they kept leaving only one towel for us both. The staff was nice but for the price payed it didn't seem worthwhile.

    Good location for downtown and close to Metro. Basic hotel but clean and for the price is pretty good. The morning breakfast is standard fare, fruit, cold cuts, bread, juice & scrambled eggs all included. Many homeless people sleeping everywhere and any where but they don't hassle you. There are lots of restaurants around also. It can be a little noisy at night depending on your room I guess. I was on 6th floor and wifi only worked in lobby not in my room. It is quite far from Cocacabana & Ipanema but as I mentioned it is 1 block from Metro and a taxi is pretty reasonable. The staff were pleasant and there was always someone who spoke English working.
