  Convenient Spot in Copacabana

  We loved the location with just a short walk to Copacabana beach. The room was modest, clean, and comfortable with great air conditioning. The hotel staff were very professional and always ready to assist in any way. We even asked them one night if they had a plastic fork to enjoy the piece of cake we picked up at a nearby bakery and sure enough, they found one for us! The staff all spoke either English or Spanish in addition to Portuguese which made communication much easier. Easy cab rides to and from the airport. The bellmen were great with handling the luggage. When we weren't walking, we used Uber to get around the city which was much cheaper than taking cabs. The breakfast buffet was good and located in the bright restaurant of the hotel. The neighborhood had plenty of shops and restaurants, a yoga studio, pharmacies, and a little market next door. The excellent location and kind staff made our stay in Rio wonderful.

  A good basic mid-budget hotel in an excellent location

  Really well placed for many of the activities I did whilst in Rio, being just a few blocks (10 - 15 mins) walk from the beach, metro and supermarkets, and in being quite central along the Copacabana stretch, activity start points were just 15-20 minutes walk in either direction. Staff spoke reasonable English and were friendly and helpful. Cleanliness of the hotel and my room was good. I had all the basics in my room, international TV, shower, air conditioning, safe which all worked fine. Large comfy bed. The only negative was my small window looked out into a central air conditioning unit column, so no view and noisy if window was opened. There were better windows and views with the more superior rooms. But irrelevant really with good air con and my view happened the moment I stepped outside the hotel, which is where I spent most of my time. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and from a nice early time which was helpful with some early excursion starts. With stone hallways and my budget room being by the lift, it was sometimes a little noisy late evening, but my sleep wasn't significantly disturbed. All in all, a very good budget stay. The only negative was being so far from the airport, if you will be travelling by taxi at any kind of peak time, add an extra 45 mins onto the planned journey time due to heavy traffic.

  Let’s start with the pros. A couple blocks from the beach. The staff is extremely helpful and they went above and beyond to help us coordinate a guide to Pedro do Telegrafo (must visit by the way). They speak English which is another plus because communication in Rio is very limited if you don’t speak Portuguese.ConsThe mattress was so hard that we would joke and call it prison bed. My back hurt the entire stay there. The breakfast is below average and could be better. I wouldn’t stay again

  Its about a 15mins walk to the beach, hotel staff are very friendly. Only no guest allowed in your room. And the condoms placed on the side table is a bit worrying. But other than that was a great place to stay.

  Stayed there for only one night since we were just travelling through and I'm so happy for choosing this particular hotel amongst all in Rio! Staff were very friendly, polite and correct. Appreciated their picking up our suitcases by the taxi which was a surprise for a hotel not beeing exclusive. Our room on the 9th floor was nice and superclean with all facilities (eg TV, toilet, shower, AC) functioning as they should. Breakfast was enjoyable and more than sufficient although butter and fridged foods ought to have been placed on something to keep it cool during service. The butter was melting in the warm breakfastroom. The location is perfect as the beach is only some blocks away and there are shops and restaurants close by. The neighbourhood felt quite safe.This hotel will be our first hand choice next time in Rio d.J. so ... that means I can also recommend others to book it.
