Quick stay after a 10 hour flight.

    rating19 Jul 2025

The hotel is right next to the airport. As I was only staying four hours, they gave me a day rate. The shower and nap were perfect after a 10 hour flight getting to Brazil. I went to the rooftop with amazing views and took some pics. It was perfect for what I needed - a shower and a quick nap.

    A room without a view

    rating11 May 2025

Rio de Janeiro airport GIG Terminal 1 where the hotel is located is closed and all airlines operate at T2 (domestic and international). Go to level 0 (arrivals) exit door C turn right and find the shuttle stop in the very end of the building just around the corner. Call the front desk +55 21 2468 3400 to speed the pick up. If you prefer a 15 min walk start on level 3 without exiting the building and try not to get lost. Google maps helps. The hotel is perfect for a layover, late arrival or early departure because transfering to the city in the middle of the night may be unsafe. A roundtrip to Copacabana by taxi costs around U$ 60-70. Rooms are allright and keep in mind they do not have windows so you may feel a little claustrophobic. There is a good restaurant and 24/7 room service. No oder options or vending machines nearby. Staff is very friendly and professional.

The terminal is now abandoned, long walk to the next terminal.

    rating30 Mar 2025

The terminal is now abandoned so it is a long walk to the functioning terminal. The room is basic, yet decent but there is no window. A bit claustrophobic The restaurant is allright. I would personally prefer to stay in Rio, but for a longer flight connection this could be a convenient option.

    Quiet hotel within the airport

    rating07 Nov 2024

I stayed here for one night. The hotel is located in terminal 1, which is no longer in use, so it’s a strange feeling walking around a deserted area, however the area is secure and safe. There is a shuttle bus that runs from T1 to T2 but there is also a secure walkway. It takes about 15 minutes to walk between terminals. The rooms are very quiet and fairly basic, but in good repair. The restaurant menu is adequate and the breakfast buffet is good. I would stay here again.

A night in Galleaõ airport hotel Terminal 1

    rating24 Sept 2024

No windows in our room. Only three pillows in our double room so had to use the spare blankets. Very good shower with generous products: soap, shampoo & conditioner. Noisy even with Aircon switched off. Aircon difficult to adjust down. Breakfast was good quality buffet. It is possible to walk from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 easily. It is all on the flat except for a 100 ft long ramp. Walking this route at night was weird though. Well lit but deserted curved corridors felt like the space station in 2001 a Space Odyssey! The only people we passed were uniformed airport maintenance staff. Safe enough but strange. At the time of writing Terminal 1 appears unused which explains the emptiness. Reception staff were mostly Portuguese only but helpful enough.
