Location

The hotel has a prime location in one of the most beautiful areas of the city, the Ipanema and Copacabana circuit. The beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, one on the left and one on the right, are just a short walk away in a residential area with good restaurants and shops. The city centre is around 15 km and the International Airport is around 35 km away.

    Sensational Stay at South American Copacabana Hotel

    Wonderful stay at the South American Copacabana Hotel.The room was small and compact compared to other hotel rooms during my stay but the bed was comfortable, TV and Fridge working, Air Con kept me cool in the Brazilian heat and the bathroom and toilet were clean.Close to Ipanema and Copacabana beach. Plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and take-away were all close by to the hotel. The street markets was also close by.I felt safe walking at night time. In saying that, the night I was there, there was a lot of rain in the afternoon and nighttime, so not many people were around walking.Easy to walk, no major hills. A little bit of traffic outside, so take care walking around but generally safe.Plenty of food and drinks available, especially along Copacabana Beach, There is also Breakfast available and great selection in the hotel restaurant.Enjoy the roof top swimming pool and sauna. There are great views from the rooftop.

    Let me start by saying that I didn’t stay here. However, after receiving such good help from one of their employees at the lobby I felt obligated to say a few words. Despite me not being their customer the employee at the lobby still took the time out of his busy day to help me arrange transportation for my family to travel across Brazil. When my technology failed phone and internet service, on top of that it can be hard to find people who speak English and are willing to help you in Rio. This is when this employee stepped up and came through for me and my family. I can only imagine how helpful he must be for paying customers.

    I've been here just one night...a bit old but clean hotel, room was clean and big enough...nice breakfast buffet with salty and sweet choices and fresh fruits...good position only 5 minutes walking from Copacabana beach...good hotel for short breaking

    COCKROACHES!!!🪳🪳Old hotelRacism = you can have guests as long as they are not blackHidden charges - water should be complementary, instead they dont tell u and overharge you for small cups at endThe maid took some cover during cleaning and then the receptionist complained its missing 🤦‍♂️

    The hotel and everything in it is very old. The staff is not friendly and dont really care making your experience pleasant . My room had a wall on the window witn several air conditioners machines. The noise was unbearable. For that price you can find much better options.
