    It's ok for a short stay

    Short stay for business, hotel was nice enough and room was a decent size. The buffet for lunch and dinner wasn't amazing, not a lot of choice. Had some drinks at the roof top pool "bar" although it's not really a bar when you have to call down to reception to order drinks to be then brought up to you...One thing that annoyed me was the way they made such a fuss at check out over what drinks I had from the mini bar. The mini bar had 5 tiny bottles of water and 2 small chocolate bars. That was it. I told the reception I had 3 bottles of the water. This the turned into quite the investigation as they made a few calls for housekeeping to go and check and verify. It's 3 tiny bottles of water FFS! I did tell them that my company was picking up the tab anyway but this didn't halt their investigation. Some people just like a bit of authority I guess...left a bit of a sour taste after that.

    The hotel is modern and clean, with good wi-fi, comfortable bed and bathroom. However, the breakfast is not what I expected: the water for tea is always just warm, and when I complained I got: once a disagreable answer, and afterwards someone who brought my tea to the microwave... The yogurt and cereals are just basic. Paes de queijo are bad.     High Quality Modern Room

    A nice high quality modern room. 5* fixtures, fittings, panels and doors. Friendly staff with ok English language. Short walk from Rio 2016 Olympic park venues. Could improve the information booklet provided with room.     Rio Trip for Carnival

    Overall we had a lovely stay in Rio de Janeiro at this hotel. We stayed 14 nights in the month of Feb here at this hotelPositives: Clean modern hotel with nice room, very friendly staff and always willing to help and support , quiet so there was no massive disturbances. Nice pool access and gym area. Easy usage of things around the place. Location can access grocery store near by and pharmacy. Bed very comfortableHousekeeping was excellent daily and appropriate times. Just across the road from the Olympic Park which u can acces the grounds but inactivity (waste of money)Shuttle bus given for local beach daily which was good. Negatives: Location not ideal as 45 min bus journey to main hear of Rio- although this is easy to navigate can be tiredsome repeated journeys. Breakfast was the same every day buffet but not many options. Shower occasionally ran out of hot water and maintenance came to fix several times unable to Difficult to organise transport and more expensive due to location for all excursions.Each of the excursions due to location we had to wake up and be ready from 6am meaning missed breakfast sometimes which was not good.Overall trip was pleasant hot and good time was had but wouldn't recommend the hotel to go to all the sightseeing tours and visiting Rio. Although it may be distant to the more traditional tourist attractions, we highly recommend our guests to keep off the beaten track and instead of visiting Copacabana beach, visit less crowded and cleaner beaches such as Reserva (located at Environmental Reserve 10 minutes from our property).     Great hotel

    We stayed at the Venit Barra Hotel for a week in November 2016. The hotel is situated in a new part of Rio. The staff are pilot and helpful. The breakfast is awesome, a great spread, highly recommended. Although the hotel is situated quite a distance away from the touristy sites you can use an Uber to get around reasonably.There a a beautiful beach Praia da Barra Da Tijuca about 15 to 20 mins away. It is not as populated. There are new shopping malls in the area, close to the hotel,great place to purchase goods made in Brasil.
