    Currently staying here right now for 3 days as the majority of guests including myself are required to do 3 days quarantine before flying offshore.The meals are delivered in a plastic tray which i can completely understand but what I cant understand is why they cannot cook the pork to the minimum safe temperature.See photo attached.Disgusting...

    I am really sorry to write negative comments about this hotel. Most of the staff are helpful and polite. However there is a receptionist who was stunningly rude, and was borderline insulting. And the security guards treat guests in a hostile manner. It is not a welcoming atmosphere. You have to sign for towels at the pool, which is fine. But then you are questioned repeatedly whether or not you returned them at the front desk. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is inviting. But I cannot say it was a pleasant experience because of a few people who clearly do not understand the concept of hospitality. Pity because the hotel has potential.     Cannot give a complete review because the hotel was not quite complete during my two week stay for the Rio Olympics. Like much of Rio, this brand new hotel came right down to the wire in being ready for the games. Id say the place was 85% complete.That said, what WAS ready was very good.Location was great for the Olympics as it is right across the street from Olympic Park. Its in a very nice residential/business neighborhood. A full supermarket is just next door and a huge mall about a mile away. However, not the best location for seeing the must see sights of Rio. It is a good half hour ride or a lot more depending on traffic. I did not use public transportation so cannot comment on how long it would take by bus or train. I can say that cab fare and Uber in Rio is VERY cheap so its not a bad way to see the sights.More on the hotel. Staff was very friendly, with a special shout out to the bell boys who were very nice and helpful. Most of the staff spoke English, though as always I tried to use the basic language of any country I visit. Hotel IS brand new so rooms very clean. Not huge but not tiny either. Fantastic rain shower heads in walk in showers.Great rooftop pool that has wonderful views and eventually a bar. A real highlight was the hotel restaurant.
