This city hotel is located in the heart of the classical, cultural and vibrant Rio. It is next to the Paseo Publico, Municipal Theatre and the Museum of Modern Art, and near the exciting musical hustle and bustle in the bars of Lapa, and the intense cultural programme of the Progress Foundation and the Circus Voador. The hotel is 10 minutes from Copacabana and 8 km from Ipanema Beach. Santos Dumont Airport is 5 minutes away and Galeão - Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport is some 20 km from the accommodation.

Facility

The hotel has 166 rooms, which are located on 22 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     A mid-range hotel in not the best location. The area has no nearby shopping and very limited choices to eat. The hotel has a restaurant with average menu and the breakfast is OK but not exceptional. Rooms are very basic, no coffeemaker , no couch, you sit on a single chair or on a bed. The concierge will arrange taxi but not Uber which is widely used in Rio and cheaper.     HORRIBLE DONT CONSIDER THIS PLACE

    PLEASE DONT. Never consider this hotel or the chain. I have an email at anybody request. The email says the following: We will not grant ANY vip benefits for silver, gold or platinum expedia members such as YOU (i am platinum), room upgrade, 20% discount on first meal discount, welcome drinks on our properties even if we are promoting this benefits on expedia website.Toilets dont work, a/c dont work, after complaining for 20 minutes they had to change the room since we called expedia, checking inn is 30 minutes at least. The neighboorhood is a getto, impossible to walk at any time, far from all atractions, THE INTERNET IS HORRIBLE, we traveled as a family and also is offered laundry facilites, none! Dont get fooled by pictures , expedia benefits will not be honored. The staff and manager clearly said. We will not refund $1.     This is an average, clean, modern hotel. The area seemed somewhat sketchy after dark. The beds were quite hard. Not sure if it is standard for all foreign guests in Brazil but the check-in process seemed overly bureaucratic. It was OK for a one night stay.     Good location. Really nice restaurant, great dinners. Staff extremely attentive/helpful. Vinicius was such great employee while me and my family were staying there. Worked the restaurant and the top floor bar/pool area. So polite/ attentive. Top floor patio area gives you a great view of the city.     Good location if you want to visit the center attractions as Museums, cultural centers and if you plan to move around Rio by subway (the station is 1 block).
