    Very nice hotel. Clean, nice design, large room, nice bed, sheets, prerty good breakfast buffet, great rooftop pool, bar/restaurant with terric view of Leme Beach & the town up mountain behind can even see Christ the Redeemer.     A nice, clean hotel right on Copacabana beach. It has spacious rooms and a fantastic breakfast in the breakfast room with a view of Copacabana. They serve cold and hot dishes, yogurts, fruit, coffee is served in a jug and you can mix it with milk yourself, which we really appreciated! The highlight is the heated pool with a rooftop bar with an unforgettable view of Copacabana. In short, everything we expected and more.     I paid for what was presented as a four-star experience but encountered consistently unwelcoming staff interactions, unclear policies regarding my stay, and ongoing room issues from the first day.My stay took place April 17–23, 2026. I arrived early after communicating in advance and paid for an additional night to access my room upon arrival. Despite this, I was still required to wait until 3:00 p.m., with no effort made to accommodate beyond storing luggage.The additional night did not include breakfast on the morning of arrival, which was not clearly communicated and resulted in an unexpected additional cost.Throughout the stay, staff interactions were consistently minimal and unwelcoming. Basic courtesies, such as greeting guests or responding to greetings, were often absent.While waiting for my room, I used the rooftop dining area. Food quality and service were below standard.The room was clean but had an odor upon entry. More concerning, smoke entered the room through the ventilation system beginning on the first day and continued throughout the stay, despite the hotel being non-smoking. This issue escalated and resulted in physical discomfort and illness before it was addressed.I also completed a survey card during my stay and handed it directly to a front desk representative, but there was no indication that this feedback was acknowledged or acted upon.Overall, this experience reflects a consistent pattern of unwelcoming staff interactions, unclear policies, and unresolved environmental concerns that do not align with a four-star rating.     The hotel was very busy. Our flight arrived early in the morning, but the hotel would not allow us to check in early—even if we were willing to pay. Since we were very tired from the air travel, we had to wait in the lobby from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., even though many guests checked out during that time.     Good location for Copacabana beach, restaurants and friendly staff but rooms need an update

    Stayed as part of a cruise holiday and staff were very helpful especially bar staff on level 19 roof bar and bell boys. A popular hotel and was full when we stayed. Breakfast for when we visited was good and enough choice with good coffee. Rooms are very tired and would benefit froman update and if they have USB sockets then they should work. They were not repaired after reporting a few sockets to reception. However it’s a great safe location and we enjoyed our time. Top tip is to get a high floor with a view of the beach.
