Location

This hotel is the first luxury hotel by the beach in Barra da Tijuca. Riocentro, the largest convention centre in Latin America, is located nearby. Tom Jobim international airport is around half an hour away by car.

Facility

The apartment hotel has 28 junior suites, 68 suites and 196 apartments, which are located on 15 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Most units include a balcony with sea views, where guests can relax and linger a while. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. As an extra convenience, bathrooms provide cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The apartment hotel has family rooms and 292 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Sun loungers and parasols on the sun terrace create a perfect space for guests to relax and unwind. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis, beach volleyball and golf are available. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, squash, callisthenics and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam and a beauty salon. Subject to charge: massage treatments. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, a dance club, a casino and a nightclub.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. Lunch is served as a buffet, and guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu for dinner. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Fantastic staff and location, but the room needs urgent renovation

    I have mixed feelings about my recent stay. On the positive side, the staff was wonderful—they were kind enough to check me in very early, which I truly appreciated. The location is also great, with the beach right across the street.However, the property itself is extremely outdated and did not meet the usual Wyndham standards. The room felt worn out, from the thin, aging towels to the kitchen cabinets that were peeling and torn. Most concerning was the bathroom; the shower was so rusty that I didn’t feel comfortable using it. The bed and overall bedroom felt so used and uncomfortable that I only stayed a few hours before deciding to leave. It’s a great spot with great people, but the physical condition of the hotel needs a major overhaul.     Just stayed 4 regrettable nights at this hotel. It has a good pool and a nice gym that’s about it. Everyday all the towels provided were stained and dirty. Same for the bedding that was replaced. Hotel doesn’t provide cups to be used in the room.I asked for cutlery and was mocked by the staff as if it was unreasonable. The room was dirty, weird stains on the mirrors, extremely dirty door knobs. Staff DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. Our door literally fell apart when we opened it. I helped out another guest from almost being robbed in front of the hotel. Went out for a smoke and there were no security at the entrance - I saw outsiders touching and harassing guests for money while they were trying to enter their uber.Never stayed in such a bad Wyndham. 10/10 would never come back.     Overpriced hotel, it's not worth what they charge

    The common hotel facilities are fine, basic, but they comply. Nice pool area, chairs and umbrellas are missing. Very old jacuzzi. Basic pool restaurant. Perfect hotel location, in front of the beach, and close to shopping areas and restaurants. The rooms they gave us, horrible! Poorly maintained, damaged furniture, bad microwave, leaks inside the room, poor cleaning, hairs on the sheets, hairs in the bathtub, fungi in the bathtub and bathroom wall, burnt bulbs, damaged intercom, rotten smell coming from the pipe system, many ants in the room, sliding terrace door did not close. We paid a lot of money for this poor experience! $600 per night per large room for 5, but with too many problems. I will never comeback again to this place, and I definitely not recommend it. Don’t waste your time and money. I am Chilean, and I live in USA. This is a 3 stars hotel with luck.     Den of Thieves in the beautiful hotel .

    The hotel is beautiful, but experience is not.The staff (room service/room keeper) not clean the room well, but focusing on searching and stealing customer valuable assets.I left a day for a tour, when we came back to my room, immediately became aware that someone opened and searched our luggages. The credit card (locked) I left on the table was gone, the bank sent notification for the card declined transactions.I spoke the front desk for the security breach, but never got any feedback...I went back to check the reviews from Google maps, there were other customers complained the thief of their personal item and credit cards stealing from the hotel room, obviously, this is not isolated incidents.     DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL!

    The hotel is terrible. Good location for who want to be in Barra. But the service sucks. For check in it took more that 1.30 hour waiting in a line with less than 3 people. From the 5 days we stayed there, 3 they “forgot” to clean and set the room. Even calling governance (Rebeca 2 times, Julia one time) and gently asking in the front desk, they did not cleaned. 3 DAYS !!And when we requested towels to take a shower the answer (for the 3 days) were that “all towels are wet. That is nothing we can do”. And asking to talk with the manager, the answer was “he is in the laundry to get back the towels”.In the third day, when I called governance at 9pm asking to clean the room the lady “Isabelli” hanged up. So, service there is SUPER BAD, the employees has NO TRAINING, ARE NOT PREPARED to work in a Hotel.Breakfast is ok but again the people working there is SUPER BAD, when I asked for a spoon for my kid, the waitress became “angry” and throw up the spoon on us.If you go to breakfast after 9AM (it is open up to 10.30), you have to choose between eat nothing or the rest available. No replacements on the food.DONT GO THERE. YOU WILL REGRET!
