Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in an 8-storey building with 3 lifts and 246 non-smoking rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     avoid if you travel by electric car

    Hotel is noce but has to be avoided by electric car owners. If you travel by electric car, hotel has 4 type 2 charging stations, but all spots are used by non electric cars as simple parking, including hotel petrol car. Reporting to reception or asking to talk to a manager won't help eighter, no car is moved despite having free spots in the parking.     Ideal location for Sophia

    Centrally located the room is quiet and comfortable with two chairs so a couple can each sit. The bathroom has body lotion, which is a plus, multiple pillows for the bed. Laundry is outrageously expensive for Eastern Europe but when you’re traveler, you have to bite the bullet.     Well........we stayed for 4 nights at the Sofia Hilton in early April. For 3 days the hotel was excellent, no complaints. Then on the day before leaving we realised that a pack of personalised playing cards in a leather pouch had been taken from our room. These were not of great financial value so we had left them beside the bed. We didn't think to put them in the safe, after all my wife has clothes worth more and we happily leave those hanging in the wardrobe and expect them to be there when we get back. It was clear however that these had been taken by someone at the hotel whilst entering our room. We reported this to reception at the time and were less than impressed by the lack of concern shown by the staff. Is this a normal occurance and should guests expect personal items to be stolen ? Anyway, then on the morning of checking out we arrived at reception expecting to recieve a small bill for the extras incurred during our stay, having pre-paid via British Airways. Instead we were told that no pre-paymnet had been made and that we had to pay the full amount. We then showed the receptionist all of the relevant paperwork (my wife is meticulous) proving that we we had pre-paid, had the vouchers etc. The receptionist refused to accept any of this and instead rudely and unprofressionally demanded to see the transactions in my bank account !! At this point our transfer had arrived to take us to the airport and we had no choice but to pay the bill in full. We were then given an itemized paper invoice which luckily my wife immediately realised wasn't even ours (!!), and we had to wait while the correct invoice was produced. During our journey home we contacted BA who confirmed that everything had been pre-paid, that the Hotel would have been fully aware of this, and that the Hotel should certainly have not been demanding full payments from us. BA then attempted to contact the Hilton to ensure an immediate refund. 10 days later still nothing, and the transaction still on my credit card account. BA have now said they will refund us directly and seek the refund from the Hilton.I have to say that in our years of travelling we have encounted previous epsisodes like this, its part of travelling, but the manner in which the Hotel staff dealt with us, showing no concern over theft, the rudeness of ignoring the evidence that we had paid and the demanding of payment, lack of professionalim in giving us the wrong bill, and then the failure to refund the transaction have left a very sour taste in the mouth.So if you are using this hotel, ask for an extra large safe to put all your clothes, shoes and belongings in just in case, print out the full history of your bank transactions in case they'd like to see them, and check you get your bill and not someone elses, or better still, stay somewhere else. With well appointed larger rooms, comfy pillows/bedding/pillows, strong shower, spotless, lots of phone charging stations, light-filled and airy spaces, constant wifi, one cannot help but appreciate the lap of comfort, service commitment, and contentment this gleaming stylish residence offers.Mission first and people always, the superstar Associates make a solid property glimmer and shine. The polish? The positive energy the team exhibits from the moment of first contact- the first moment for me was over the phone. Make no mistake, because of the high service standard found throughout the hotel, the property operates like a little city within a city. Travelers like staying, meeting and hanging out here. It’s the amazing collection of quality staff, aka highly trained, professional, skilled, and articulate teammates, that sets this hotel apart from others in this bustling city.Even with it’s popularity, when i called inquiring about my reservation, Front Desk Associate David, patiently and efficiently answered my questions, so when he greeted me upon arrival, i knew exactly what to expect during my stay. During my stay, the Associates called me by my name, remembering my room number, and kept me well fed and hydrated. The ample, spacious and well equipped Executive Lounge is a perfect safe haven after working, traveling or playing. The spa services and gym are small but mighty - after two massages over consecutive days, i am ready to again take on the road.A special shoutout to Kamilela in the breakfast room, Maintenance and Housekeeping Teams.

    I had an excellent stay at the Hilton Sofia! The hotel is modern, clean (🙌hsk team) with brand new facilities and a very good location. Sofia itself wasn’t the coolest city I’ve visited, but this hotel absolutely stood out😎everything was spotless, and all my requests were handled quickly and efficiently. I will only add more Bulgarian food to your menu;) Highly recommended!
