Location

This hotel is situated in the heart of Sofia, and offers breathtaking views over the Vitosha Mountain. The hotel has 4 apartments, 14 single rooms and 72 double rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can relax on the balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a queen-sized bed and a sofa bed.     This hotel has a super location and the price is very reasonable.If I was with my missus I might have chosen another hotel, but on this solo trip around Eastern Europe I opted for this hotel and I was happy.Not a stylish hotel, but completely clean and my room was far bigger than I'd expect on my own so I was very pleased.The shower sprays all over the floor so that was a little annoying, but it was a good shower.The television had lots of sports channels which was handy as I was watching a bit of the snooker.There is a shop around the corner to pick up a few bits also.I did find the hotel staff to be rather unfriendly, but I found Sofia to be like this so maybe that's just the way they are.This hotel is a perfect location and you're just a short walk to the amazing Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and to the city centre also.I found Sofia to be a lovely city to wander around and really it is very underrated.Thanks,Irish Travel Man.

    Probably the oldest hotel in Bulgaria, which can be seen from the furniture, equipment, cleanliness... But the soul of the hotel is also made up of friendly and smiling employees. Congratulations!***Може би най-старият хотел в България, което си личи от обзавеждането, оборудването, чистотата... Но душата на хотела е и от приветливите и усмихнати служители. честито!***Вероватно најстарији хотел у Бугарској, што се види и по намештају, опреми, чистоћи... Али душу хотела чине и љубазни и насмејани запослени. Свака част!

    Pleasant surprise

    Was getting slightly worried having read some reviews here however, the hotel was lovely and clean. The staff friendly, helpful and multilingual. Breakfast was a joy having eaten banitsa for a week. Good choice of food.The decor is dated but for the convenience of location (couple 100 meters to Alexander cathedral )I can overlook that.

    Two ok words great location- unfortunately that all I would say about this place.. abysmal- hasn’t changed since communist days.. lift didn’t work no offer to take cases up the 6 flights of stairs… there was a lovely pile of , I presume human hair, stuck in the shower drain no plug in the sink.AC not working. Reported hair and AC to reception made no difference. The breakfast woefully inadequate. Looked dreadful the hard boiled egg looked the safest thing to eat. Coffee looked and tasted like Tar!A cheap overnight stay that’s about it!

    Good location not far from all the activities and to the public transport. Walking distance to Nevresky Cathedral and St Andrew Russian Style Church with onion domes. Friendly staff probably family owned but housekeepers do not communicate in English. Good breakfast and varied. Big room with terrace but could not manage to operate the AC .
