    My experience

    rating08 Jun 2024

I'm bulgarian but speaking in English for the tourists. I went here with my mom and the experience was awesome. The receptionist, I think his name was Rado, was very nice and welcoming not only to us, but also to everyone else. He showed us where our room was and even gave me free candy. At one point my mom got a headache due to having low blood pressure and Rado gave her pills to make her head stop hurting. When we went inside our room I was amazed of how it looked. The bathroom was literally better than the one we have at home. The only downside was that it smelt like smoke but that was due to the window being open. I would recommend this hotel.

    Not good

    rating29 Aug 2023

A hotel located in the blue zone of the city of Varna. Probably a family business. Untidy rooms with musty smell, cleaning on request. Breakfast for a fee, totally uninspired and weak, no kitchen! You often run out of water, you can't even take a shower or use the toilet. In general, carelessness towards customers is observed. Parking costs 15 leva per day, in the underground parking opposite. At night, it's good not to go unaccompanied, being dark all around, you don't know what to expect.

    Absolutely dissatisfied

when we arrived at night, the receptionist was not friendly. Room is kinda OK but the mattress is awful and the shower is extremely disgusting: moldy and the water does not drain. Definitely would not come back.

Receptionist friendly but that was only positive. Room and mattress extremely smelled from cigarettes and shower is just awful. Parking which is opposite hotel is quite fun and challenging, no staff during night in garages. Definitely would not come back.

    Great location. Clean hotel.

Due to a booking mix up at a hotel my girlfriend, Tanya, and I arrived by bus from Veliko Tarnavo after dark, which did this hotel no favours at first sight. It was well lit, but it was the only building in the small side street that was. We entered into a clean, well lit reception area and were greeted by a young attractive lady who spoke passable English. A rarity outside of Sunny Beach. Check in was swift. We entered our room and I was immediately surprised and delighted. For a budget hotel, it was spacious and well equipped. Modern LG tv, fridge, which I opened to find a well stocked mini bar. I grabbed a beer and switched on the tv. CNN news and plenty of English/American tv shows. Heaven! Tanya emerged from the bathroom beaming. She reported plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. And all at at a budget price. £23 8pm when we arrived 21/09/18. £26 with balcony. Next morning, the street outside was bustling. I took notice of a cafe directly opposite with tables outside with umbrellas advertising Karmenitsa beer. Time for breakfast. I enquired about breakfast with the daytime receptionist, and was informed that they don't do it, but was told that the cafe was very good across the street. So it proved to be. Brush up on your sign language, the ladies there don't speak a word of English. However, everything thing is on display and you only have to point. Cheap? Wow! It caters for locals. We ate there every morning of our stay. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the seafront, but there is so much to see on the way. 2 markets and many, many shops, all cheap. Beware of the pavements on the main road though, especially if elderly. The main road is lined with trees, the roots of which have lifted the paving stones in places. Otherwise, the location is great. I could not fault this hotel. It suited our purpose beautifully. I don't think it is child friendly, but it doesn't pretend to be. It's for couples. Not for disabled people. Will I go back? Tanya cannot get enough of Varna and we will definitely be at the Hotel Victoria next Spring. Ciggypop.
