    Our room appeared to be a multi-purpose room that had fold up beds so one might host a meeting there? The beds were semi-comfortable. The bathroom was fairly clean.     A nightmare stay at Auberge des Iles

    We (2 adults and 2 teenagers) via our travel agent recommended this hotel for one of our trip Canada in August 2025. Our travel agent had booked for us a condo with 3 bedrooms to accommodate us. Suddenly a few months later, the hotel changed our reservation to 1 condo with 2 bedrooms + 1 room at main building because there is a wedding party to be held here at the hotel at 23 August. We tried to accept . When we arrived at 22 August, the receptionist told us that shall be probably quite noisy on 23 August on that wedding party day. But she said the noisy shall be reduced around 22.00-23.00 PM. Since there is a regulation in the hotel that after 23.00 PM, it should be quiet. The fact is ; on 22th August ( night before the party), the noisy already began till almost midnight. And on 23th August, the party with freaking loud music was still going on till morning. No security/ no staffs/ no hotel management who tried to reduce the noise. The ballroom is opposite the restaurant and the receptionist. That whole night, the party people ran and yelled all over the main building! Nobody from the hotel did anything about it. And we who paid full amount to be able to sleep were abandoned with sleepless nights!! So be aware to book this hotel! Especially when there is an event or party going on! Coz the management of the hotel just don’t care about your sleepless nights due to the noise of the party in the main building. Such shameless hotel management! The condo is very basic. Telephone which didn’t work coz there is no cable attached ( it was at condo 29!) . Towels and toiletpapers which are as thin as paper. All the pans were sticky. We had to washed all over again. Especially the sleepless nights we had here are NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! No RESPECT TO the customers after taking our money. There are some small hotels which probably can give us more restful nights than here. The ignorance of the hotel is really over the top. I wish I could give this hotel ZERO star.     Beautiful 3 day stay

    We came early and they friendly staff let us check in early ..The room was perfect for us with a beautiful view of the lake ..nice deck The bed very comfortable ..lots of comfy pillows ..The kitchenette was perfect and we cooked a few meals The water was very hot and the bathroom had upgraded amenities Coffee maker and coffee microwave fridge ..induction portable stove top and cooking utensils We stayed 3 days and enjoyed the beach ..pool ..jacuzzi and sauna The staff very friendly and helpful

    Different in a good way

    So it's a bit different here. They run with a low staffing model, the person who checks you in, also runs the bar and serves at tables. There is no servicing of bedrooms on intermediate days during your stay. There is no attendant at the pool or gym. That said, it kind of works. They supply you with plentiful supplies of towels, loo roll etc, and off you go. The other thing that's a bit different is the rooms, which are reconfigurable - we arrived to find two double beds in our room and decided to fold one of them up into the wall and out popped a table and chairs. The room had plenty of drawer and hanging space, but could have used a bit more central lighting and a safe. The place is kept very clean. Ask for a room with a lake view, the sunsets are amazing.Nice small beach out there too. I swam in the lovely pool every day, as the only person there, and it felt like it was a brand new pool and I was the first person ever to use it ! Good breakfast for C$15. All Staff were friendly, most spoke good English, and those who didn't tried, and were very patient. Having stayed at corporate chain hotels all the way from Toronto, this was a refreshing and much cheaper change

    Wow! What a place! Incredible view of Lac St-Jean directly from the room. This one was also huge and well clean. The staff were also very kind and friendly to us. The beach is awesome with a lot of water sports to do like kayak, paddle, canoe etc. Definitly a must place to stay in Saint-Gedeon.
