Location

This hotel is centrally located, close to the trendy 17th Avenue district with its numerous shops and restaurants. It is near to Stampede Park, the business district, the Talisman Centre at Lindsay Park, the Calgary Tower, the Glenbow Museum and the convention centre. The city centre is just a 15-minute walk away and guests will find restaurants, bars, nightspots, links to the public transport network and shops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Banff ski region is just a 90-minute car journey away.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 16-storey building with a lift and 123 non-smoking rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a TV room.     Nice place to stay when you and Calgary downtown

    I had an awesome stay for two days. The staff were very friendly. The room was great The bathroom was very nicely set up. The hotel itself very inviting. and very well kept I would recommend this hotel. it’s an awesome place to stay in the downtown easy to get around walking Uber and transit.     Awful, bad communication from staff. No accountability for parking or vehicles being towed. Hard to navigate if you're not used to downtown. It's skety in the area. We had to leave at 6 am to be sure our vehicle wasnt towed and we had to keep checking to make sure it didn't get broken into. Staff didn't care. Couldn't communicate well, when asked about a consession stand we were told there is an old vending machine in the basement of the building. Creepy.Asked for a quiet room and they put us next to the elevators.When calling to book we were quoted Way higher for a smaller room than booking online with their website. On the day of your arrival we were over 95% occupied, which limited our ability to move rooms, but our team would have been happy to explore options if availability allowed.In terms of rates, the prices offered at the property match the rates shown on our official website and booking partners. We never increase rates at check‑in.Every traveler has different expectations, and it sounds like our downtown property may not have been the best match for what you were looking for.     I stayed at the Best Western Plus Suites Downtown while on a business trip to Calgary in February 2026. When I checked in, I was greeted at the front desk by Anna.
