    I yeavel quite a lot for work and this has been the best hotel stay I have had. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate the guests.     Our group (U15 hockey team) had an incredible experience at the Canalta Hotel in High River, thanks to Wendy, the manager, and her amazing staff. Wendy is the definition of going above and beyond; flexible, accommodating, and genuinely committed to making sure everyone is comfortable and cared for. She made everything feel easy, even with a big crew (four hockey teams plus regular guests!) and lots of moving parts. I even spoke to guests not there for hockey who loved it! That’s unheard of. 👏👏Her staff was just as fantastic. They were kind, patient, and let the kids have fun without ever making anyone feel like a burden. And the front desk team that worked late? Absolute gems. They gave the parents space to relax and enjoy themselves while still keeping things respectful and under control. Perfect balance.💕I can’t recommend this hotel enough. If you want a place that treats you like family and truly understands customer service, this is it.     We've been Diamond VIP members at Best Western for over 25 years and we have been turned!! We will always book with Canalt hotels going forward. We had an absolutely gorgeous stay at the High River location. Conveniently located amidst all the fast food restaurants within half a block but there is no need. They provide Van Houtte and other items for breakfast for no charge. The room we had was two king beds and it was huge. The view of the mountains was amazing and the room appeared to be brand new and very, very clean. no yuck factor walking in the wide open and tall hallways unlike most other hotels we've frequented. The staff are exceptionally accommodating, warm and efficient. I still can't get over the room, amenities and the plethora of monster pillows and towels in the bathroom. Bathrooms are always ick where' we've stayed but this was like a brand new bathroom. The shower had jet force and the fixtures are all new. My wife was sold when she saw the Dove brand toiletries both in the shower and on the bathroom counter. All-in-all, this hotel is now ours, we'll prioritize CanAlta every time we visit High River every 8 weeks and seek out the chain in other communities around Alberta.
