    Bad service and BAD smell

    When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. After a few minutes we left and when we were getting into our car, someone came out into the parking lot to see what we wanted. We said we had a room booked, but when we walked back into the hotel. It smelled so bad that we said we couldn’t stay. But it was too late to cancel and get a refund.

    Stayed at the Econo Lodge last night (Novenber 30th/24 ). Room 120.I have to say... I was a little skeptical due to the reviews.And it did look a little like a retirement center when we walked in. However.... that bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. Sheets were were clean and pressed. Room was clean and very inviting. The TV was pretty small and breakfast wasn't anything to rave about.. hence the 4 stars 🌟 . But I would certainly go back. And the little pizza place next door was amazing. Thank you Okotoks and Econo Lodge ....

    Great ,friendly, and very reasonable place to stay...fabulous front desk staff who went out of their way to fit us in on a busy weekend ....dog friendly too. Comfortable beds and very clean rooms. Will stay again for sure and definitely recommend to friends and family. Small breakfast items available as well. You won't be disappointed.

    Booked two rooms last minute and was optimistic based on reviews & price, but the rooms were quite poorly maintained. The bathrooms had musty odor and were very rough around the edges. Bathroom was dingy. Sink was cracked and unclean. The stopper for the tub was dirty and stained. Hairs on the floor and shower wall. There was a floor drain in the middle of the bathroom floor that smelled slightly of urine. The bed cover had a stain on it. The chair in the corner was sunken and stained and should probably be tossed out. The electrical outlet on the wall had no cover. All that aside, it was only a quick place to rest before hitting the road again so it wasnt the end of the world, we just wanted a place to sleep.....until 2am when the train went by and woke everyone up. Wow it was loud and seemed like it was right in the room, blaring its horn. Another one came at 7am waking us up again. Thanks for the quick stop Okotoks....we wont be back to the Econolodge anytime soon!!!

    The room was clean and quiet, at a reasonable price. The staff were thorough and friendly. There were a selection of light breakfast items available in the morning. Would stay again! Be sure to visit the Pho restaurant across the street!! So yummy and great value.
