    A comfortable hotel but far from amenities.

    A decent place to stay if you want to be near the airport or are just passing through. There are a couple of restaurants adjacent to the hotel but there are no other amenities within walking distance.The room was large, clean and comfortable which is what I wanted and needed for just one night. I left early and can't make any comment about the breakfast available.I knew I was back in Alberta when I arrived to find two of the four EV chargers blocked by non-EV vehicles. Also, they're level 2 chargers, which is fine for overnight charging but they require payment to yet another private company, something EV owners will understand as we all have several payment apps on our phones. In the end I just went and found a nearby level 3 charger in the morning.

    Stayed for one night before flight home hotel is getting tired needs some updates. Main problem was the breakfast. Says on all signs start at 6.30am every day but didn’t start until 7am which is not acceptable for an airport hotel. Only one girl dealing with breakfast room were as all the other IHG hotels had two. Most breakfast items were not being refilled quickly enough. Most items had run out as soon as one was filled the food went in seconds as nothing else available. Refill was very slow wasn’t even any coffee. Ended up having to go back to the room to finish packing up then try again as we left still a lot empty unacceptable!!     Hotel was clean and quiet. Very comfortable beds. The Breakfast Bar Manager ensured the breakfast was hot and delicious with a lot of options.

    NO TOWELS

    There are no towels! Like NONE. None at the pool. None in the gym. There was ONE bath towel in our room (which had 4 registered guests). The staff said they were in the dryer. We went with a group and had a total of 5 rooms. Each of the adults asked multiple times over the 3 night stay if we could get a couple towels. Always the same answer - they were in the dryer. They would bring them in 15 minutes. Sadly 15 minutes never came. The pool towels. The room towels. Always in the dryer. First thing in the morning, last thing at night. We were the only family in the pool - and still no towels. The staff said it is always like this. It really impacted our stay. We were in Calgary for a family funeral. It was already a difficult weekend and although the staff certainly empathized with us, they said that this has been a problem for a while and they weren't sure there was any plan to fix it. At one point we waited at the front desk for 40 minutes (because they said the towels would be out of the dryer in 5 minutes) and were given 3 damp towels to share amongst the 15 people swimming. Very disappointing.

    The breakfast manager lady is the best and very friendly, the buffet is awesome with alot of variety to choose fro, even cinnamon buns! I try to choose hotels with good breakfast's and the holiday inn express did not disappoint. I total recommend this hotel!
