    Best family staycation

    We stayed here the other week as a family staycation! We had a 10/10 experience from start to finish! Our boys are 13 and 6 and they had more than enough to keep both of our boys happy, entertained and wanting to come back! We were thrilled with the surprise of having a splash pad inside the pool area! Our 6 year old spent most of his time there and the older boy even got in on the fun. Having the buckets and whirlpool bottom in the shallow end of the pool helped keep everyone all together for a fun time! Our older boy is an athlete playing high level competitive hockey so having a breakfast with tons of healthy options and a massive guy really helped keep him on track with his goals this season. Our younger boy has autism and feeding him has always been a challenge but they had so many options that everyone in our home was able to find something to enjoy with tons of seating area to enjoy your meal restaurant style! It’s walking distance to the st Jacob’s market, and a brewery which made us wish we stayed longer.

    Our spacious room and the hotel in general were clean and comfortable. The staff were courteous and professional. We had to stay an extra night because my wife came down with a GI illness, and they were quite accommodating. The mattress was a little firm, but comfortable enough. The TV worked. The breakfast, while not great, was okay and included hot options. The location is convenient (although not a whole lot available in walking distance). We were able to charge our EV at a charger that belongs to the hotel next door, but no one was using it. Overall, an pleasant stay, despite the illness (which had no connection with the hotel).

    Spent 12 nights here during August for a close friend's wedding, couldn't fault it at all very friendly staff, good communication, good room size, excellent location for St Jacobs and the farmers market and a well maintained pool and splash area for the kids downstairs.Would definitely return. If I had to be picky I would say the breakfast could do with a few more options, it got very samey after a while, some freshly cut fruit, fresh veg like tomatoes and berries would go down a treat but it might by typical accross Canadian hotel breakfasts.

    Pool water too cold and cloudy and shouldn’t smell like bleach.Only 1 elevator worked. Not the best experience. Will stay elsewhere next time in St Jacob’s.     Great Family Stay!

    Taking family trips to St Jacobs has become a family tradition thanks to Holiday Inn Express in St Jacobs. It's so close to so many activities including the world famous farmers market and multiple antique markets (literally steps away!!). The hotel team went above and beyond to make sure our baby was comfortable during our stay- ensuring we had a crib in room as well as high chair at the breakfast buffet. We especially loved the newly renovated and stylish rooms, and the pool area equipped with fun jets and a splash zone for kids! We can't wait to return.
