  Checked into this hotel which my travel agent had booked. I have a respiratory illness and react badly to smoke, so it was imperative to have a no-smoking room. The whole hotel is classed as non-smoking. It isn't. Our room was directly above the hotel reception, and someone in there must be a chain-smoker. The whole place was stinking of smoke. The lounge chair in the room had cigarette Burns on it and we could hardly open the manky balcony door. No air-con, but someone had thoughtfully placed a fan on the dresser, circulating warm, smoke-smelling air around the room. I used the toilet and the door jammed shut. Hubby had to kick it in from the outside. Small kitchenette with cooker and fridge. The place just felt disgusting. Went to reception to cancel and were told refund could only be given to agent who booked it. When they tried to reclaim it, they were stonewalled. No refund, hotel is denying all knowledge. Found a lovely, clean, air-conditioned motel just along the road.

Not reliable for a work stay.This was another disappointing experience that added to my concerns about this hotel.I stepped out briefly during the day (around noon), and when I returned, the building entrance door would not open—not my room door, but the door required to access the building itself. This hotel uses two separate keys: one for the room and one for the exterior doors. I walked around the entire building trying to find another entrance or a staff member, but even the lobby was locked and my key did not work anywhere.I eventually had to call the hotel to get someone to open the door. I was told that the keys “sometimes don’t work” and need to be reset. What’s concerning is that the hotel operates with limited front desk hours. If this had happened outside those hours, I’m not sure how I would have regained access to my room that I (or my company) paid for.In addition to the access issue, the room was not properly cleaned—there was a used cup with coffee/sugar residue and a rolled-up sock left behind. The room was also very noisy due to its proximity to the swimming pool, making it difficult to rest.That said, the housekeeping staff and other staff I interacted with were kind and polite, and I appreciate their efforts. Unfortunately, taken together—access problems, cleanliness issues, and constant noise—this stay did not meet basic expectations, and I would not stay here again.

  Some of the photos on line must have been taken when this motel first opened as it no longer looks that appealing externally or internally and really needs a full makeover so your first instinct is “get out of here” especially after the somewhat distanced welcome you get at reception so, we made the most of our day around Hope to minimise the time at the motel but for one night the room was clean and bed comfortable and other staff friendly and helpful so if you can get past that first impression it is an acceptable short term stop. On the positive side there is a large pool and hot tub on site. Again the decor somewhat dated but would allow for a good swim workout.As it is near to the highway, ear plugs are helpful.

  I only rated this experience a 1/5 because there was no lower rating. Arrived with my young family of 5 and when I went to check in, the front clerk cancelled my booking without my permission because the room was apparently “over capacity” due to there being too many people staying in the room, a 2 queen bed room. Even though my youngest slept in a playpen. We were left stranded and had to sleep in our car that night with my 3 young children. The front clerk was rude and when I pleaded with her that we had no other hotel booked, she said there were “lots of other hotels in town.” This is by far the worst experience ive ever had with a hotel, nothing else even comes close

  Smelly old Motel, No Aircon and breakfast was terrible. Pool was the hottest we found and the Jacuzzi worked well.
