    Best Hotel in Hinton!

    I travel to Hinton often for work and have stayed at many of the hotels in town. This property used to be a dated Quality Inn, but it’s been completely transformed into the Velora, and what a difference! The full renovation was much needed, and the result is incredible. From the moment you walk into the lobby, the hotel feels modern, stylish, and a step above anything else in Hinton.I stayed in a one-bedroom suite with a separate living area and a small kitchenette. The room was beautifully decorated with contemporary finishes. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. I didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast this time, but I definitely will on my next visit. Velora has now become my go-to hotel in Hinton!     Gem found on short notice

    We are from the States and decided a few days ago to do the icefields parkway. Booked at this hotel 3 days ago. Rates were similar at other hotels but the photos were inviting.The check in staff and restaurant next door were friendly, the towels were VERY soft, bed very comfortable. The room layout has closet space, hooks for jackets/coats, a bench with wooden area for suitcases. The shower is full size and large enough for 2, with peppermint shampoo and conditioner. Although along a local hwy we did not hear sounds from outside. We were booked next to the elevator and did hear conversations of guests at the elevator. There is no towel or hair dryer storage in the bathroom - a shelf would solve that. The soap kept slipping off the sink.We had not heard of this hotel chain before and were really pleased with it. I don’t know if they are in the States but would stay there again. Thank you!!!     We stayed at Quality Inn and had a very good experience the rooms were very clean and spacious. The front desk staff Dipanshu was helpful and very polite.Will surely recommend the place for good quality and service and shall come back again.     Run down hotel but good price!

    This hotel is run down and beat up! Would make a world of difference if they did some cosmetic work to some of the rooms. If you are looking for a place to crash for the night then it’s good for the price. We had a 2 queen room that cost $87 per night and were just staying over night on our way to Jasper. We didn’t use the pool but checked it out and it looked like someone beat the crap out of the door and busted it. The baseboards, trim and some of the furniture is pretty beat up and looks like a frat party took over one night. PROS: -Our room was surprisingly very clean.-Breakfast was great with several options and the breakfast staff did an excellent job keeping it stocked.-quiet with minimal noise - walking trails right behind the hotel-staff were very kind and welcoming -location was great with walking distance to restaurant and mall-toiletries provided with hot showerCons:-worn out hotel -hot tub out of order-beds weren’t fantastic but fine for one nightWould stay here again if they did some updates.     Worst Experience given for those people the know how to run a hotel from front desk,housekeeping, and managing the hotel

    We stayed the night of august 8 coming from calgary.But first i booked the hotel on the 31st of july around 4:52pm and i phoned the front desk to book me 2 rooms seens she said thats ok theres 2 rooms for a double queen size bed and she just said she will be reserving it for me. So i hang up the phone and got a reservation notice for only one room, and i phoned her again to verify that it was 2 rooms, and she said she will fix it, i called in the third time and ask for a third room if possible she said she doesn't have available room which is fine and before i hang up ang verify the 2 rooms i reserved again she said she already reserved it. but apparently when we arrived at your hotel theres only 1 room has been reserved for us.Its so dissapointed and stressfull that around 12am at that time we are looking for a hotel for my brothers family to stay.The night audith front desk guy told me that he will try to talk to the manager if we can get discount. Butww when i talked to the morning shift fornt desk if she knows about what happen to us the night audith didint endores on theri logbook what happen, so no one will ever know what happen to us.Even my bill was wrong the lady that im mentioning on the first time i called said it was $250 for the room including the tax now what im seing on the reciept its $275. so is she even trained for the desk because shes creating some false information maybe?And also when she were on her shift while im talking to her she's using airpods and i think she's talking to somebody at that early on her shift.Emailed the manager of the hotel it seems like their not taking actions to this so i wrote down a review.Even the other establishment's there in hinton are saying this hotel sucks!.
