    We booked this hotel because the Granby Zoo lists it as one of its official partners. The hotel was only a 8-minute drive from the zoo.Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was very unenjoyable. The hotel advertises a game room, but the game room is nonexistent as it has almost nothing to do for kids. The pool is an outdoor pool, so the temperature is heavily governed by the weather of the day.The room itself looked nice but unfortunately, this was the worst part of the stay. The back door lock did not work. This was a concern for me as I have a 3-year-old, and he tends to explore. The shower had hot and cold water inverted, which caught my 10-year-old kid by surprise and almost burnt him. The worst part for us parents was sleeping. The mattresses were extremely lumpy and hard. They even lean towards one side. My wife had trouble not falling off the mattress while sleeping. We have not slept this poorly in years and this is supposed to be our vacation. Thank goodness we were only there for 2 nights, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to handle a third night there.I brough all the complaints up twice to the reception but no notes were taken so it never feels like anyone is taking you seriously. They told me they had no other mattresses in stock, so we were stuck with our horrible mattresses. For a hotel with 136 rooms, so most likely over 200 beds, to not have any mattress in stock is ludicrous.     While staying at the hotel, one of our group had a health emergency at the pool. I can't thank Sean, the lifeguard, enough for her caring, professionalism and help during that situation.The room was fine, the pool accomodated children of various ages (a separate area for toddlers) and the breakfast was hot and done very efficiently.The front desk staff were caring and helpful. I saw lots of very happy families there and I'd love to bring my own grandchildren to visit sometime seeing how family friendly the place was (and perfect for our group too).     We stayed in a 2 queen bed room garden side overlooking the pool on the 5th floor. This room had no balcony, which we preferred. There was no noise from adjoining rooms or guests in hallway. Air conditioning worked well although a tad on the loud side when coming on. Decor was fresh, modern, extremely clean. Bathroom was immaculate, with glass shower and completely spotless! There's a tiny, tiny Keurig coffee maker with 2 pods provided. If you want a bigger caffeine hit, free breakfast with more coffee is available on the premises. It was standard buffet fair but tasty to send you on your way! Staff was pleasant and professional at all times! Our French language skills are poor but we had no trouble conversing with employees in English.Free parking, 7 minutes drive to Granby Zoo/water park, lots of restaurants within walking distance, Walmart, Canadian Tire, across road.2 fine looking restaurants in the hotel, although we didn't get the chance to try them but they were often full for dinner so I suspect they're decent.Pool is massive and grounds are beautifully kept.One note: mattresses could use an immediate upgrade. A bit soft in the middle from age and overuse. Sleep was just okay but won't deter us from returning.Highly recommend for families or couples. Lots of packages available upon booking. We basically got a free adult admission on our zoo ticket package!     Stayed here for two days while in town for business. Check in was smooth and fast. Lots of free parking on site. Clean hotel in a great location. Large mall with a Walmart located behind, lots of resultants around and also a nice resultant/bar on site. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable, pillows too. Bathroom was large with stand up shower. Pressure of shower head was great, shower head also detachable. Breakfast was offered with a live chef to cook your eggs and meats fresh. Overall a great stay and would gladly stay again when back in town.     2nd time at the hotel and still great service....quality...value for money. The rooms are well laid out and really comfortable. The choice of restos on site is a huge plus(Le Parloir pub recommended) great tub and shower. Cable tv.
