    Beware: NOT a sports team friendly hotel

    It is a run down hotel. Rooms and beds far from their top shapes. Also, their policy towards kids and families who are there to participate in a tournament was outrageous. They even hired a body guard! Not allowed us to use their conference room or their restaurant after hours to do team buliding activities.The only good things I can say about this hotel is their breakfast which was thanks to Lisa who extremely worked hard all by herself serving all the clients, preparing all the foods and keeping the restaurant clean all the time. She is doing an amazing job. Also Meo, the receptionist is very client service oriented She did her best to help us to book the best room based on our needs, very much appreciated. Lori Lauzon, General Manager at Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre, responded to this review Thank you for the review. We do have rules in place and try to work well with all of our hockey teams . Banquet spaces were in use this weekend so we were not able to let you rent one out . The restaurant is a licensed establishment so you are unable to bring in outside food and alcohol into that area . I am glad that Meo was bale to accommodate your needs and Lisa was a great help with the breakfast rushes .

    Feels like Home on the Road - Best Value Hands Down

    I travel all over the province with my huskies for work and will spend weeks at a time in a hotel. I usually have long days and even later nights working in the hotel room in preparation for the next day. This is by far my favourite place to stay. It's not as glamourous as new builds but the staff is AMAZING! They make reservations, check-in and check-out effortless. They are always so helpful even when I spend months without staying. It is still hard to find places that accept the incredibly hairy pups I have. They not only tolerate my pups but genuinely seem to enjoy hosting us. I can count on one hand how many hotel reviews I have done in my life despite travelling regularly. I never have to worry about hiccups coming here. I would take this hotel over any fancy new build any day. Thank you to the staff who make this place feel like home on the road!

    For quality/price I found the Clarion Hotel just fine. It was quiet, had a wonderfully warm pool and sauna and yes, there is a clock on the wall there. Breakfast (warm and cold) was great. Staff friendly. Clean. I stayed with a friend in a large room with two queen beds. It would nice if the Clarion could offer 2 queen beds one of their fireplace suites. Also beautiful riverside walks in Pembroke and excellent restaurants.

    TERRIBLE BEDS

    The room was reasonably clean and quiet with a nice enough decor. The bathroom was clean but rather poorly lit. However, the beds were terrible with a ridge down the middle of the mattress. We were very uncomfortable all night and slept poorly. Would NOT recommend just because of the beds.

    The bathrooms were dated and not very clean. There was evidence of mold in corners and the chips in the tub had a temporary fix. Although check is 11am, key cards stopped working at 10am and multiple families were locked out of their rooms. Lori Lauzon, General Manager at Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre, responded to this review WE are having issues with the key system and they are trying to resolve the issue . We did quickly make keys for everyone . We did our best with a busy hotel to get everyone back into their rooms .
