  Dirty room/not cleaned during stay/breakfast disgusting

  Checked in on Friday night and went to our room. Had to come back to the front desk because the bathroom was not clean (hair all over the floor), and only about a quarter of a roll of toilet paper there. We went out for awhile and when we came back, they had swept the bathroom and provided more toilet paper but there was 3 tissues in the tissue box. On Saturday, we put the ‘do not disturb’ on the doorknob because we don’t like to take advantage and felt that after one night it wasn’t necessary to ask for cleaning and fresh towels. On Sunday morning, after spending two nights in the hotel, we had removed the ‘do not disturb’ sign and left the hotel at 10 am so they could clean our room. We returned to our room at 9 pm and found our bed not made, dirty towels in the bathtub where we had left them, no garbage taken out…our room had not been cleaned at all! Went to the front desk and was offered some towels for us to take to our room (dirty towels still there and garbage still not taken out)! I asked for the manager and was told he would be there in the morning. On Monday morning, I discussed with the manager our disappointment and how the dirty room upon checking in and on Sunday was unacceptable (after waiting a long time for him to come and talk to us after being called by front desk staff). His response was “Oh, I’m sorry about that” and offered nothing. I then asked for a partial refund and he said, “If you ask for me during a future stay, I could probably give you a 15% discount then.” We told him it was unlikely that we would be back this way and he said nothing, so we left as his dismissal and disrespect was blatantly evident!!

  Stacy was amazing! She was super friendly and went above and beyond in including our booking in a group discount rate for the event we were there for. The rooms were clean, though dated. Breakfast was available though we didn’t partake. We appreciated the convenience of the drive up room. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge was a larger bar fridge type and very cold. The shower head should be upgraded.

  Check in was timely and easy. The fellow on the desk was very nice and polite. They had us on the upper floor but kindly arranged for us to be on the main floor. Our room was very clean and big. There is a restaurant nearby called The Island Sisters that is worth a visit.

  Great value for the price. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Location and breakfast was also idealExceptional service, l believe the receptionist name was Shawn who was very friendly and we had some interesting and enjoyable conversations. He gave us a few very good referrals of where to eat and what to see in the area.

  This hotel has a low price point. You get what you pay for.This is an older facility that has shown its age. Many rooms have sliding glass patio doors that exit out to peripheral sidewalk with chairs to sit outside (locked from the inside).The bathroom had rust in the bowl, the bathtub had an extremely dirty-stained non-slip mat that isn't removable. One would not want to soak in this environment.The furnace was noisy when running.The bed did have a thick mattress cover and was comfortable to sleep in. The area was quiet from traffic.TV has satellite coverage and many channels in french (remember you're in Canada).The Choice Hotel website shows that breakfast is served. We found that breakfast was essentially a loaf of bread or bagels, a toaster, and some jam and peanut butter. There were no eggs, or meat, etc. typical of a Choice Hotel.
