  Pleasant Night Stay

  Stayed one night while passing through. Quiet night for us as the hotel was very quiet. Mattress was a little too firm, but not horrible. A lot of fast food options nearby. Breakfast was typical for free hotel breakfast. Coffee machine is a nice feature. Specialty coffees.

  The hotel was clean and conveniently located for our purposes. They had a breakfast with eggs, sausages, nice teas, Van Houtte coffees, yogurt, toast, cereals and so on. It filled us up and prepared us for the day. Where this hotel shone was the service. Before we checked in, we had to push our arrival back due to a family medical emergency. A call to Glenda at the front desk took care of that in 3 minutes. No hassle, no problem. When we arrived home, I noticed that I had left some items in the room, including a costly purchase while on our trip. I called the front desk and again got Glenda. She had the items and said that she would stop on her way home and buy a box so that I could arrange pick-up. Later, I had also notice a couple of personal items weren't in my luggage when I got home. The next day, I called Glenda, yep, she had them in the box. Glenda went ABOVE and BEYOND in helping me (buying the box on her personal time). She was so kind and compassionate on the phone that it made me cry! People like Glenda make the world a better place. :-)

  Expectations and reality..

  …..then you enter the driveway. On the BE homepage, you obviously don’t see the surroundings of the hotel.We realised that we have ended up in an area with KFC, Walmart and dozens of other chains. And traffic.. However, outstanding service from an elderly woman. Great room with wooden floor. 55” TV Huge fridge coffee facilities. Comfortable beds.Great outside pool. Breakfast above expectations. BUT! Somewhere in this review. There is mentioned that the hairdryer is disgustingly filthy. Room 116 was defect at disgusting.Step up and read the reviews.

  Room was fairly clean when I arrived. Looks like they have renovated the rooms, removing all carpeting and installing tile and hardwood flooring. Bathroom was clean, though when you flush the toilet you need to hold the handle down for about 10 seconds to ensure that everything drains. Hallways are neat, carpets look fairly new. However, front carpeted stairs and stairwells could desperately use a vacuum or mopping. The continental breakfast was decent, comprising scrambled eggs, sausage links, toast, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, and cereal. For coffee, they have a machine that grinds and brews the beans at the moment you request a cup. The result is good, but it does mean you have to wait a couple of minutes for your coffee to be ready. This can lead to lineups during the busier times (b/w 8-9am).The nights were very quiet. I could not hear anyone else else's TV or conversations when I was in my room. The mattress was not super comfy, but it's OK. Blackout curtains work extremely well: I usually wear a sleep mask but didn't need it here. Housekeeping is kept to a minimum during your stay: they replace used towels with fresh ones, straighten up your bed, and remove your garbage, that's it. I think this is sufficient. Ice and laundry machines are on the first floor. There is also an outdoor swimming pool that many people made use of. This would be great if you were travelling with small children who need something to do.Overall, it's been a comfortable stay, and I would certainly consider booking here again if I was in the area.

  As expected, still well maintained. Nice and clean. Breakfast ordinary but included. I found the bed smaller than regular queen size and toilet.. I am a 5'5 and my husband 5'8 and yet everything was very low. This hotel would accomodate very well small people.
