    Pluses: Spent less than $100/night (before taxes). Centrally located in town, easy walk to the parks along the Rideau Canal and the locks. Front desk was friendly and welcoming. A small continental breakfast was included that was adequate; I’ve had worse at places I paid much more. View out my balcony was great, could see people fishing on the Rideau Canal. Room and bathroom were clean. Minuses: Upkeep. Many of the reviews you read are honest in their criticism, I think many would find this hotel below their standards. With investment, this could be a special spot.

    This is a conveniently located, quiet economy hotel. It is clean, the staff is friendly (like Khan) and, the breakfast is good.Don't get me wrong: the hotel is very dated- it was a grand hotel with amenities like a ballroom when built, probably in the 50s. And, it could use some capital improvements in the rooms and hall ways, such as new carpets or wall paper.But you will get what you pay for- if, you don't mind a worn chair or tear in the curtain, it is a good choice.If this bothers you, stay at another hotel on the other side of town...but, you will pay 3 times as much.

    we stayed one night and the room was terrible, both the door to the hall and the one to the balcony were stuck tight . The balcony had no chairs and was covered in pigeon feces. there was a complete lack of general maintenance. when we arrived there was no staff at the front desk.

    Where to start.We booked based on alright reviews. So, hopefully this helps for the negative ones!Absolutely filthy. Cat hair in the carpet!?Cracked sink. Ripped chairs.Stained bed. Pigeon poop.Urine smell. Cigarette smell….in the room…Worst hotel. Just don’t.

    The Motel was very dated and dirty. We. Ever for any Daily Maid service, so we had lots of garbage piled up. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the people beside us at 130 in the morning partying, even though they were supposed to be quiet by 11
