    Hockey teams beware. $250 fines for bringing hockey bags into rooms.

    This hotel is not welcoming to teams staying for hockey tournaments. This was initially discovered through reading an online review.As of February 5, 2026, management confirmed that the hotel no longer accepts blocks of rooms for hockey tournaments due to receiving complaints for noise disturbances. Management also confirmed that the hotel has a strict no hockey bag policy in guest rooms due to odor concerns and in the interest of the hotel priding itself on cleanliness and its attempts to keep the property looking new and as fresh as possible. There is a room assigned for hockey bags and hotel staff are the only ones who have access to the keys for that room as a security measure. Sounds reasonable, however...The no hockey bag policy regarding is not disclosed on the hotel’s direct website. There is a $250 fine for non-compliance. It seems more like a creative and sly revenue stream under the guise of protecting rooms from lingering odors.In today’s online booking environment, it’s unreasonable to expect that guests should have to call ahead to a hotel to inquire about location-specific policies. If the hotel provided an alternative means for hockey players to air-out gear, that would be more acceptable in lieu of proactive communication of this policy.I invite management to explain its choice to not disclose the no hockey bag policy on its own website. A logical location could be under a section for "Hotel Policies" or "Hotel Info", similar to where policies regarding pets, parking, and smoking are found.In the meantime, I hope this review will help hockey teams consider other accommodations if it's important to be able to dry out gear.Despite discovering this challenge too late to change hotels, I’m optimistic our group will have an enjoyable stay.I will be glad to update this review if management provides a thoughtful response.

    Noisy but close to the airport

    Room was clean and big and close to the airport. However the walls are so thin you can hear everything in this hotel. The nose each night between the hallways, neighbours and parking lot was disruptive.Also, they only clean your room if you request it. As I did self check in I didn’t know. I had a 3 night stay and couldn’t understand why my room wasn’t cleaned. The price we pay for hotels these days it is very disappointing to have a lack of services.If you stay here you should have a car as there isn’t a lot of good restaurants nearby.You are close to Walmart, a gas station and LCBO.

    Excellent front desk staff. Friendly and helpful. Hotel is spotless and my room was comfortable. I erred and booked a accessible room. The hotel upgraded me to a larger accessible room at no charge before I arrived. Nice touch. Bathroom was spotless. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, but they fall short on a couple of things in the breakfast room. They use two homestyle toasters as opposed to the professional rotisserie toaster. The result is a crowd of people waiting on their toast. A rotisserie toaster takes about a minute and can accomodate 8 to 10 slices of bread where the home style pop up toaster will take approximately 4 minutes if is hot and upwards of 5 - 6 minutes if it is cold. The hotelier who runs this establishment really should reevaluate their choice of toaster. The other one is a pet peeve. No English muffins. There used to be English muffins in all Hampton Inns. Both plain and whole wheat. Now it's bagels. Bagels are made with lye and lye is used to make soap. No thanks.

    A 3 day stay….. $1000.00 and the hotel won’t even provide housekeeping. A notice on the bathroom mirror indicates they provide housekeeping “every other day”.When I returned to my room on the evening of the “other day” nothing was done. I called the front desk and the girl told me I should have notified them if I wanted housekeeping. I asked for some toilet paper and coffee and she said she’d tell housekeeping in the morning????I suggested that they better provide that immediately…. Which they ended up doing.Another case of post Covid shrinkflation. Increase your rates and reduce your service.Hilton you can do better. I’m a gold member but will start looking at other chains that can afford to spend $20 on a $1000 bill.

    BED BUGS!! STAY AWAY!!

    BED BUGS!!! My wife got woken up by a bed bug crawling on her body at 2am. She couldn't sleep the rest of the night until staff came to check the room in the morning. The staff lifted the pillow only to find more BED BUGS! The manager Dominic Figliomeni won't return Hotels.com multiple calls to address the bed bug situation. We tried calling him every single day for a week but he ignored us. STAY AWAY!!!
