  I had had a long day of driving with my two cats and was hoping to find a comfortable, clean, and quiet room at the Super 8. The gentleman at the desk was great but the room I had booked wasn’t so stellar. It was right beside the noisy air vent outside and the mattress wasn’t clean - looked like possible bug evidence and some stains. I went and asked for a new room and was given a room on the front of the hotel. Both rooms seemed dark due to the dark grey paint used and dim lighting - not super inviting. The new room seemed somewhat cleaner but I think they should put the complete zip around mattress protectors on their mattresses. What was most concerning was the creepy men hanging around the end of the hotel beside the donut shop - smoking pot, hanging out around the rooms and cars. Didn’t seem like a great neighbourhood but I didn’t know this when booking. I double locked both doors and put a chair against the outside door because it didn’t seem too secure, even with the dead bolt - seemed also to let a lot of air in. The room was also noisy as the walls were very thin and I could hear lots of other guests, some of whom were very loud. You could also hear all the traffic. It was not a restful night for my cats and I. Probably wouldn’t stay here again nor recommend to anyone. The breakfast also didn’t look too stellar so I passed on that and just got out of there.   Looks like hotel has been recently refurbished. Perhaps room was designed as a two bedded room, only a king bed, which was ok, but big empty space in room. Very clean and tidy. Could upgrade coffee machine, eg Keurig and also shower head ancient.Drive up room, parking right outside.Limited number of pet rooms available. $20 fee,We’ll stay again, very good experience.

  Hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants and for breakfast, the iconic Kangas Sauna and Restaurant for Finnish pancakes. (Yum yum)Room was comfy, clean and very quiet. Would gladly stay here again.

  I found the place very underwhelming., although the staff were nice.Very basic. The armchair was so comfortable, it sank almost to the floor and was grubby. The AC & bathroom fan are very noisy, the latter being on the same switch as the light, so it can’t be turned off.
