Location

This hotel is wonderfully located just a few metres from the lively Yorkdale shopping centre and the city centre. The hotel provides an ideal location from where to explore the sights of the city such as the famed Eaton Centre, the medieval castle and the hockey hall of fame as well as the zoo. Fantastic excursions to the Niagara Falls, the Wasaga beach and the Blue Mountain skiing area ensure for an unforgettable holiday.

Facility

87 single rooms and 76 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The apartment hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, room service and a laundry service. Complimentary newspapers are available. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. A minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. The daily newspaper is laid out for guests in the the rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the apartment hotel, including tennis, golf, a gym and aerobics.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a breakfast room and a bar. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. A continental breakfast guarantees a great start to the day. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals.

    Clean, modern, and well located budget stay in the GTA

    Good option for a stay in the GTA. Nicely renovated property, rooms on the smaller side but totally functional. Cleanliness was on point. Staff are also very helpful. Only complaint would be that the elliptical machines in the gym really need to be replaced, the tracks are worn and rusting out. Otherwise, great value in this hotel given the sky high prices in the region.

    Excellent hotel with very helpful staff who put things right when booking.com lost our reservation. All staff assisted with all issues and made our problems go away, turning our vacation from a disaster into a triumph. Also helpful with my elderly father. If I could give more stars, I would.

    Worst hotel - bug in bathroom - $600 unplanned expense

    Worst hotel stay ever. So many things. Don't know where to start. We made reservations several months in advance. One week prior to arriving, I called to request a cot for the room. The person I spoke to took my information, I confirmed an extra family member was joining us and would be staiying in the same room. The person on the phone confirmed my email info and never said we would have any issues at the hotel. When we arrived fron out of province and checked in, the person at the front desk told me that hotel had a no cot policy. They didn't even have one in the hotel. She said when I called for the cot, I should have asked to speak to the specific hotel where I was staying even though I called the number on this specific hotels website. She did offer any assistance and blamed me for the issue. We ended up having to book a second room and spend another $600. The no cot issue, I understand but the hotel chain is responsible for giving me this information. It is not my responsibilty as a customer to research this. Second thing, of many, is the cleanliness - see the picture of what I found in my hotel bathroom. I went downstairs and asked to change rooms but was told they were fully booked. I asked to have the room cleaned, one person came to pick up the wet towals and dead bug and that was it. When I spoke to the manager the next morning, he said the beat he could do was give me 50% off foe the one night when I found the bug-and for the room I never planned in needing in the first place. I will never stay in a holiday inn again and suggest no one stays at this specific one.     My first time staying in this Holiday Inn Express. Rooms are very quiet and newly renovated. The rooms and common areas exceptionally clean.     I was at this hotel with my husband and daughter in December 2024. Everything was perfect. clean rooms, incredible location and staff service. I want to especially thank Merriel, Irene, Ken and Rodelio who were always willing to help with whatever was needed. Always smiling and very polite.
