Love this place, Clean friendly and easy to get around town from here. Great Bar and Restaurant, The Fox.Everthing we asked for was taken care of quickly. They were under renovations and any inconvenience was taken care of before it happened.

    A good stay in Toronto

    rating18 May 2026

I stayed at the Kimpton Saint George for a couple of nights, and overall it was a very pleasant stay. The location is extremely convenient, both for getting around on foot and by public transport: there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away. The front desk staff may not have been the warmest or most outgoing, but I interacted with them so little that it wasn’t really a major issue. Check-in was very quick and efficient but somewhat impersonal, but as an IHG Diamond Elite member we were pleasantly upgraded to a one-bedroom suite, which was truly comfortable and incredibly spacious. The hotel is new and well maintained, although in my opinion it lacks a bit of a luxury feel, both in the common areas and in the rooms. The large suite felt a little sparse, with somewhat of a Crate & Barrel showroom vibe. Compared to the rest of the suite, the bathroom felt slightly undersized, and the walk-in shower placed literally right next to the bathtub wasn’t the most practical setup. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room temperature was perfect, which I had actually been a little concerned about after reading other reviews. The reserved parking underneath the hotel was excellent, with convenient dedicated spaces for IHG Diamond Elite members. Complimentary morning coffee in the lobby and the Social Hour from 5 to 6 PM were nice touches, just like at other Kimpton properties. Breakfast at The Fortunate Fox was fine, though nothing particularly memorable.I didn’t like finding the minibar completely empty, and I would have appreciated at least a couple of bottles of water in the room. There was a Nespresso machine available (although the used capsules were not replaced during turndown service), but it was disappointing to find paper cups for coffee instead of proper ceramic cups, something I would expect at a Holiday Inn, not at a Kimpton. If it hadn’t been for a few details that, perhaps wrongly, I personally take for granted at hotels in this category, I probably would have given this stay a perfect score.

    A little disappointing.

    rating17 Apr 2026

Stayed here for three nights for work. In general it was a little disappointing, but a perfectly functional stay.Lobby is small. The seating areas are charming though. The hotel is showing some wear throughout. Nicked walls. Elevators are a little beat up. My room was the low point great. Shower grout was actually pretty dirty and gross. Hardware on my door was loose and half broken. My room happened to have a view of an ugly parking lot and a dumpster. Bed was on the older side, a little saggy. Neighborhood is fine, not incredible. Lots of college kids around.I ordered room service a few times, it was very expensive, food was decent. I didn't get to the gym.Everybody I interacted with was nice and helpful. This is not a terrible hotel by any stretch of the imagination. But the details of my stay weren't great, I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

    Not family friendly

    rating03 Apr 2026

The good: Great location for a family to visit ROM, gardiner museum and Bata shoe museum. Aesthetics of the hotel are nice, as are the rooms. The morning doorman was very courteous, as was the gentleman who delivered our room service. The bad: no microwave, no fridge and no in-room coffee/tea service. You have to go down only during certain hours to get coffee or tea. They are more pet friendly than kid friendly, as they don't offer kid menus, and even requesting chicken tenders off the late night menu is denied as it's only available after 10pm(they only offered a small chicken breast as a solution, which was fine). Having a special needs child who has food and noise sensitivity, the lack of accommodation was disappointing. The food was delivered without any salt and pepper on the side and with no covers on the water glasses. One of the glasses was also dirty, and the drink ordered was forgotten. In the bathroom, the package of qtips had been opened and one had been used. We were also woken up by a Houseman banging on our door at 10:45pm thinking we had ordered slippers. Overall: for a so called luxury hotel, customer care is lacking in terms of the amenities provided. For the price we paid, I would expect to have coffee/tea, microwave and fridge available in my room. The only good thing is the convenience of being close to the museums. All of this has been mentioned to the front desk staff (Mary), with only offer of keeping my account open for discussion (no manager on site at 7:45am When we wished to check out).
