Only good if you have low expectations

    rating02 Apr 2026

I picked this hotel because it was close to where I needed to be so it was convenient. It was a decent price. The woman at the Front Desk was very friendly and check in was easy.It all went downhill from there. The elevator we took to our room stalled. Fortunately one of the hotel staff was with us and showed us how to "shoulder" the door to get it moving again. The room was an average size. The beds were comfortable. That is where the good things end.The room was dusty. The window frame was moldy. The bathtub was an accident waiting to happen. There were no slip proof decals on the bottom of the tub and no non slip bath mat was provided. There were also no grab bars, so getting in and out of the tub was slippery.Charging devices was not easy as the two charging ports were on the side of the hotel phone. (It took us a while to find them, to be honest)Breakfast is continental. The choices were very limited and the cereal was stale. Each time we went for breakfast, we had to give our room number to the Hostess. That seemed a little excessive as it was a basic breakfast, in a basic hotel, in an industrial area. So, even though this hotel met our criteria (location, parking, breakfast) we will not be staying here again. Not going back!

    rating21 Aug 2025

We stayed there two years ago and thought it was OK and conveniently located as we were visiting family both in Toronto and Niagara-on-the-Lake. This time, we rented a suite for three adults. The room and bathroom were rather sad and need sprucing up. The bed was not comfortable. We had to ask and wait to be provided with towels for three people and some of the towels were not clean. When the room was made up on the second day, a pillow disappeared and we had to argue to get a pillow back! We also had to ask for towels for a third person, again! Breakfast was a rather boring affair consisting of totally tasteless coffee, hard boiled eggs and very plain breads and bagels. An overall disappointment!

Bug infestation, terrible experience, health and safety concerns. Stay away at all cost.

    rating03 Jul 2025

Our recent two-night stay at this hotel was significantly marred by several unacceptable issues and safety concerns. Upon arrival, despite our booking costing over $400, we were assigned a basement-level room. This room was characterized by a strong, unpleasant, musty odor. Additionally, the room's window directly overlooked the parking area, resulting in a complete lack of privacy. We promptly requested a different room due to these conditions and were subsequently moved to a fourth-floor room. Unfortunately, this alternative accommodation presented an even more concerning problem: a pervasive ant infestation. We observed numerous ants throughout the room, including on our clothing, food items, and, most disturbingly, on the bed itself. We possess photographic and video evidence documenting this unhygienic situation. When we brought these significant hygiene concerns to the attention of the front desk staff, the response was unhelpful. We were informed that no other rooms were available, and the staff offered no resolution or acknowledgment of the issue. We were simply advised to contact the manager. As a direct consequence of these conditions and the lack of support, we experienced considerable discomfort and were unable to rest or eat properly. This ultimately compelled us to depart from the hotel prematurely, resulting in a thoroughly disappointing and unsatisfactory experience, especially given the expectation associated with the booking cost.

Good value for money, excellent hotel

    rating01 Jun 2025

Conveniently located if you want somewhere to stay away from Toronto to keep costs down but be assured of a comfortable stay. About 10-15: minutes walk from Oakville station which is served by GO Transit Commuter Rail around Toronto, VIA Rail including the Maple Leaf service to New York. The only downside about walking is the lack of pavements on both sides of the road for about 200 metres. Check in was really good and I had absolutely no concerns about the room. Clean, comfortable and bathroom all in good order. Good to see full use of dispensers for toiletries. WiFi worked well. A continental breakfast of good standard was available from 07:00. Good there to see proper cutlery and plates rather than disposable ones. Overall definitely recommend for staying in the area with perhaps easy access by train to Toronto, Niagara Falls, Windsor etc.

Great value for a three star stay nothing fancy

    rating23 Sept 2024

Hotel Monte Carlo Inn offers a decent stay for the price. The room was spacious, and the internet was satisfactory. The staff was alright, and the location is convenient, being not too far from the GO station, making it easy to reach. While the gym was disappointing, the complimentary breakfast was a nice perk, especially at this budget-friendly rate. Overall, considering the cost, it's hard to find a better 3-star option in the area.
