  Budget hotel at a budget price

  This is a budget priced hotel and you get a budget quality room. There was nothing overly wrong with the room or the hotel and given the price it was probably the correct price vs quality matching.If you are looking for a bed to sleep in this is that. If you are looking for quality amenities and a quality room this in not that.

  My wife and I are both seniors. We chose this hotel for its proximity to Rogers Stadium. Poor choice as it turned out. The hotel is located in an area with a rundown, industrial feel to it and it felt unsafe to us at 4:00pm in the afternoon. I can only imagine what it would feel like arriving there at night. The hotel itself is a long, obscure, dark building without any kind of signage. A canopy runs along one long side of the building. After circling the building we found the entrance under said canopy in the middle of the building. The entrance leads to a small, unattended hallway, reminiscent of a dated apartment building from where an elevator has to be taken to the second floor where the reception is located. There, the impression of this being a rundown facility is only amplified. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. I wanted to uncork a bottle of wine I had bought before going to the room but was told that all the corkscrews had been taken by guests and the only ones left are in the banquet area, which was closed. This in a 3-star hotel. We proceeded to our room, where it took me a moment to get the old-fashioned metal key into the lock to open the door. Upon entering the room we noticed a small couch with a strange brown cover that looked old and worn and a simple bed with no headboard. In the bathroom, the bathtub had rust running along the top and paint was peeling from the ceiling in various spots. My wife and I felt like we had entered The Twilight Zone. We grabbed our suitcases, left the room, left the building and left the area. How this travesty of a hotel is listed in the 3-star category is beyond my comprehension.

  If you’re here for work or need a quiet place, don’t stay here they have parties till 11 o’clock at night and your whole room vibrates with the music and all you hear is pounding music so good luck forgetting some sleep so you can get up in the morning

  Christmas Luncheon

  Friend invited me for Christmas Luncheon. Enjoyed the food, I couldn't eat all my chicken (sorry, I had to leave some room for dessert and tea !!). I use to be a banquet server so nice to be on the other side. Well done! One suggestion is to have signs to where the front entrance is many people went to the back of the building.
