Nice room but significant credit card problems with the hotel - overcharged and non-communicative

    rating22 May 2026

The hotel has paid parking in an adjoining parkade, which was very much appreciated. We were upgraded to a Roger Centre view room. The room itself was well appointed, clean, and sufficiently large. The problem we had, and still have to this day, is that we were asked to provide a check-in "deposit", which was supposed to be settled/cancelled upon check-out the following day. Not only was the check-in "deposit" not cancelled when we checked out, it was charged to our credit card in US dollars. We contacted the hotel and were informed that the check-in "deposit" should be "erased" from our credit card statement within 5-7 business days, but that has not happened. Our credit card company informed us that the charge will stay on our credit card, and the only way to get that amount of money back was for the hotel to provide us with a credit card refund/credit. We contacted the hotel via email and have not heard back from them. We will very likely have to contact our credit card company again and ask them to reverse that charge. Based on this experience, we would NOT recommend this hotel.

Where to stay in downtown Toronto.

    rating09 May 2026

Whenever we visit downtown Toronto our go to home away from home is theRadisson Blu hotel. We love the location with so many near by amenities butit’s the quality of our stay that keeps us coming back. Lovely rooms and exceptional service. The front desk staff are always the same. Muskaan and her coworkers greet us with big smiles and a very friendly welcome. On top of that the manager, Ricardo Barreno always makes sure our stay isperfect. Already planning our return visit !

    Blu Shutter View

    rating03 Apr 2026

Overall, we had a good stay at Radisson Blu Downtown Toronto. The hotel is a little dated, and the bathroom layout was a bit unusual, but it worked well enough for our stay. We didn’t use the tub and just used the shower, but if you’re someone who enjoys a proper bath, that setup might be a drawback. We stayed in a corner room overlooking the bay harbor, and that was definitely the best part. The sunrise view in the morning was beautiful and made waking up there feel extra special. The room had shutter-style windows that seemed intended to let in more light and maximize the view, but in reality, the shutters opened onto the other windows and ended up blocking part of it — not the best design choice. Still, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, which made for a restful stay.A few helpful things for future travelers: parking is available, but it is paid parking only. It’s also open to the public, so that’s worth knowing if you’re driving in. Breakfast was included, which was nice, but it looked fairly limited and the restaurant space itself felt a bit like an afterthought — tucked away in a small corner area rather than feeling like a proper dining space. The hotel has only 8 floors, a tiny gift shop that wasn’t always open during our stay, and overall feels more modest than some may expect from the name. That said, the location is very convenient. There’s a breakfast place right across the road, plus shops and a pharmacy just around the corner, which made it easy to grab anything we needed. Not a luxury stay, but comfortable, convenient, and worth it for the harbor view and location.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown.

Pros:- Fantastic location - walking distance to sports centres, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, etc.- Friendly & helpful staff- Amazing restaurant (Queen's Harbour) right across the street- Clean lobby & rooms- Water refill stations located on each floor- Free wifiCons:- The only real con was in regard to our room (426) - The curtains don't slide properly, the bathroom lock/handle gets stuck, the TV was glitchy, the pillows were very flat, the bed on the left was very squeaky, and there is a decent amount of wear on tear on the walls, etc.The pros outweigh the cons though, and we would stay again:)

    Great stay! Lovely hotel!

    rating07 Mar 2026

My stay at the Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown was excellent from start to finish. The check-in process was very easy and efficient, which made arriving after travel very smooth. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the stay, always happy to help when needed. The room itself was large, very clean, and maintained to a very high housekeeping standard. It was clear that the hotel takes great care in keeping rooms spotless and comfortable for guests. The location is also a big advantage. It offers easy access to streetcars and is within walking distance of the city centre, making it very convenient for exploring Toronto.Overall, this is a very good hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto.
