    Great stay and great location

    rating24 Apr 2026

Clean modern hotel, great location to visit Jays game, CN Tower, Scotia Bank arena and aquarium …. Quiet area and easy walk to waterfront, hockey hall of fame and Eaton center. We enjoyed dinner one night at the hotel restaurant SportsNet and the food was great and while we weren’t there during a Jays game we enjoyed the view of the field and hockey playsoffs game on rhe TVs.

    Do not book this room!!

    rating16 Apr 2026

This review started out as 3 stars but as the night continued it got worse. This review is based off the room we selected if you are traveling with little ones: We were traveling from the US and booked a one night stay at the room with the stadium view ($$$$) which was great for our 2 toddlers energy. The hotel itself has Amazing customer service, great amenities, and an Amazing soft bed which I was looking forward too.the issue: The baseball game was at 3pm. The stadium lights stayed on the entire night and were shinning brightly through. Before booking, I looked up reddits and different posts that said 11pm is when the lights normally turn off. But at 11pm the stadium turned on either a loud vacuum or fan of some sort (and it has been on for the past hour).(( UPDATE: turns out it's Leaf blowers. TONs of employees using leaf blowers throughout the stadium to remove trash.))(((2nd noise update: 330am-7am more loud machines, they are now power washing the seats/floors throughout the stadium, plus noise from employees chatting while working)).The hotel should at least provide some transpency and warn guests about the field doing maintenance because I would have rather saved a thousand+ dollars by just going to the game itself and picking a different room knowing we'd be getting a get a good night's rest.Maybe the hotel could provide sleeping masks since they cannot install decent floor to ceiling blackout curtains. Or how about providing earplugs? Either way... started off at 3 stars. now at 1 star experience. So if you or your toddlers are light sleepers this room is not for you. Also this room includes 2 high stools which i used to prop up against the bed for my wiggling sleeping toddler to not fall off as neither beds are near a wall. Ryan Soderberg, General Manager at Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your response and we truly apologize for falling below the expectation. We do our best to manage expectations and be transparent with regards to the field experience. Sorry that this was missed. We have shared your feedback with the team and will ensure necessary steps are in place to prevent this from happening again.Thank you.

    Perfect location, superb hotel!

    rating09 Mar 2026

At a higher price point then some hotels, I had higher expectations for this one. This hotel did not dissappoint!. Trevor at the front desk was amazing upon check in. The room was modern, clean and spacious. Tons of room for the two of us to spread out. We dined twice at the restaurant on site, once for dinner and once for the breakfast buffet. Food was amazing both times, as was the service. Valet parking was super easy and convenient. The location of the hotel was within a quick walk to Scotiabank arena which was why we were there. I look forward to staying here again!!

    Disappointed in poor service

    rating09 Mar 2026

There was no consideration or accommodation made for my friends and I when we stayed. The hotel might be good for convenience and basics were met but the service was minimal and the staff rude. The breakfast buffet was terrible for the price. Ryan Soderberg, General Manager at Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear that your stay fell below the expectations, particularly with service, staff interactions and breakfast buffet. Your feedback about the lack of consideration and value for price is important, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will ensure necessary steps are taken to prevent this from happening again.

Overall value and experience fell short of expectations for $400+ price point.

    rating01 Feb 2026

We booked a last-minute stay at the Marriott City Centre in Toronto for a total of $480 for one night. While there were highlights regarding the room comfort, the overall value and experience fell short of expectations for that price point.Arrival and ParkingThe arrival process was frustrating. There were no clear directions on where to park or how to access the hotel upon arrival. We opted for the valet parking at $50, which is a significant cost. We also had a $75 food credit included in our booking. The RoomThe room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and well-equipped with a microwave and a mini-fridge. One notable thing for travelers: there are no USB-C charging ports, so make sure to bring a wall adapter. They provide in-room bottled water, though be aware it is $2.50 per bottle. The technology was modern, and the TV allows you to connect to your personal Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video accounts. Most importantly, the room climate was excellent. It was not stifling hot, which is rare for many hotels, and we were able to control the temperature to 18°C overnight. This made for an incredibly comfortable sleep.Dining and AmenitiesThe dining experience was less impressive. There are limited food options available. Even with no events happening at the Rogers Centre, the restaurant environment was uncomfortable due to bright laser beams throughout the space.Pricing for children is also high, with kids' meals at $15 for lunch and $19 for dinner. Cocktails and other drinks start at $15+.The hotel could benefit from more onsite activities for children. The lounge did not feel kid-friendly, and we missed out on the pool entirely because we weren't told where it was located during check-in. Additionally, there is no direct PATH access from this location, which is something to keep in mind for winter travel or city exploring.SummaryWhile the room was comfortable and the temperature control was perfect, the lack of direction, high costs, and limited family-friendly atmosphere mean we will likely not return. For $480 a night, we expected more seamless service and better value. Ryan Soderberg, General Manager at Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent visit to the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to highlight both the positive and challenging aspects of your stay. It’s great to hear that you found the room spacious, well-equipped, and its climate control conducive to a perfect night’s sleep. Your observations about the modern technology and comfort are valuable insights, particularly for future travelers. We’re sorry to learn that the arrival process, dining experience, and family-friendly amenities did not meet your expectations.Your candid comments regarding the price point and value will certainly provide useful guidance. Thank you again for sharing your honest review with us.
