  Great beds and breakfast

  We arrived late both nights we stayed here. Front desk staff were friendly and nice as we spoke only a basic greeting and merci. They spoke English so everything went smoothly. Even though we had to take our luggage up to the 2nd flr our stay was still nice.Rooms and beds comfy and clean.thsnkfully pn a second stay there were some friendly locals or maybe even other guys staying at the hotel who offered to help us up with out suitcases ( there were 4 woman) we gladly took the offer of help.The breakfast was great. The woman who takes care of the food and was polite and efficient. The place was spotless. The food was fresh and plentiful. If I go this way again will definitely stay.

  Service and staff needs some work

  Spent an overnight stay here (plenty of rooms empty) but we were placed in the room closest to the lobby, you can hear EVERYTHING, could have easily been roomed at quieter end of hallways. Also, front desk staff failed to acknowledge that I was standing right in front of her for at least 3 min, no communication, or eye contact. Very poorly handled. The room was very clean though, but we had booked a king size and got a queen. The reservation you made was for a queen size bed and you mentionned in the comments that you wanted a King size bed, unfortunately, we don't have King size beds on the second floor, in fact, we have only one room with a King size bed and it was already occupied that evening.For the placement of the room, we where almost out of the type of room that was in the reservation ( 1 Queen size bed on the second floor) so we gave you the last one we had wich was beside the stairs in the lobby. Has for the reception, we will speak with the person that welcomed you so that this doesn't happen again.Again, we are sorry that we did not meet your expectations and hope that you will give us another chance to serve you in the furture.Thank you again and have a great day,

  The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Best sleep in a while. The free breakfast was tasty. Comfort Inn was located on a main road and easily accessible. I had a great stay. I do not have anything bad to say about my experience.   Nice hotel quiet and relaxing with breakfast included in the heartbeat of Val d’or.I like to stay there because it’s close to a variety of restaurants.great for business easy to exit the hotel and many coffee shops nearby.   We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn Val d'Or. Clean, updated room, friendly staff. It's a basic hotel, the same as other Comfort Inns. It is well located on the main street. Room had a queen bed, a fridge and a microwave. There's not a lot of outlets in the room, none on one side of the bed. No recycling bin in the room. Bed was firm, but comfortable.Free breakfast was basic: toasts, cereals, waffles, limited fruits. Coffee tasted bad.We would not hesitate going back there.
